Donut SMP (also written DonutSMP) is a public Minecraft survival server, not a separate game. Its server address is donutsmp.net, and its documented features include Java and Bedrock access, a player economy, auctions, buy orders, and shards.
What is Donut SMP?
Donut SMP is a multiplayer survival server for Minecraft. Players join the server world and interact with its survival gameplay and economy; they do not need to buy a separate game called Donut SMP. The official store identifies the server address as donutsmp.net, while the server FAQ documents support for Java and Bedrock editions.
DonutSMP is independently operated. Its Terms of Service say it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang Studios or Microsoft.
How do you join Donut SMP?
Use the server address donutsmp.net in the multiplayer connection flow for your Minecraft edition. The exact steps depend on the device and edition. A server-published video from August 2024 covers Java, Bedrock, mobile, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch, but it is older guidance; check current official instructions for your platform rather than assuming every device connects the same way.
Can you play Donut SMP on Bedrock Edition?
Yes. The DonutSMP FAQ documents both Java and Bedrock support. A server-published joining video also names mobile devices and several consoles, but platform-specific access steps can change. Check the current instructions for your device if the server address does not connect as expected.

How do shards and the Donut SMP economy work?
The DonutSMP Wiki FAQ, updated September 7, 2026, says players receive one shard for every ten minutes of playtime and can also buy shards through the official store. It says older shard rewards from AFK zones and player kills have been removed. The FAQ describes several distinct ways to trade or sell items:
- Shards: An in-server currency earned through playtime or purchased in the official store.
/sell: The FAQ says eligible items can be sold through this command. If a compatible buy order offers more than the regular sell value, the item is routed to that order.- Buy orders: Players can place orders to buy items at stated prices. A sale through a buy order depends on a compatible order being available.
- Auctions: Players can list items at an asking price. A listing is not a guaranteed sale: a buyer must complete the purchase.
The official store also lists digital rank subscriptions with additional homes and auction or order slots, alongside shard bundles. Store offerings can change; consult the official store for current options.

Are crates and spawners available?
According to the DonutSMP Wiki FAQ updated September 7, 2026, crates and crate keys are no longer part of active gameplay. The same FAQ says it does not document a current way to obtain new spawners, although existing spawners can still be traded. These are time-sensitive statements from a wiki, not guarantees that the server’s mechanics will remain unchanged.

DonutSMP’s Terms of Service prohibit real-money trading and off-platform buying or selling of accounts, items, currency, services, or access. Avoid unofficial sellers for server items or accounts; the terms are the relevant source for the server’s current rules.

Where can you get help?
The DonutSMP support portal lists help categories for technical problems, store purchases, account linking, punishment appeals, map-art appeals, creator applications, and privacy or data requests. The portal requires users to log in to open and track a ticket.
