Halloween in Cookie Clicker is a seasonal event, not a separate game mode you buy with real money. It normally runs from October 24 through October 31 on the game’s UTC calendar. During the season, popping wrinklers can drop seven Halloween-themed cookie upgrades. You can also activate the season at other times with the Season Switcher and a Ghostly biscuit.
When does Halloween season happen?
Halloween season normally begins October 24 and ends October 31, using UTC rather than your local time zone. The Cookie Clicker Wiki’s seasons reference notes that a naturally timed season does not end until the game is reloaded. That means a session already open as the calendar passes the end date may continue showing the season until you reload.
How can you activate Halloween outside those dates?
Use the Season Switcher, a heavenly upgrade that costs 1,111 heavenly chips, then buy the Ghostly biscuit to activate Halloween season for 24 hours. The biscuit’s cookie cost is not specified in the available reference, so check its in-game description before purchasing. Activating another seasonal biscuit replaces the currently active season.
The Season Switcher reference describes the upgrade and seasonal biscuits. The two access routes differ mainly in timing and progression: the natural calendar requires no switch purchase, while the switcher makes Halloween available beyond its usual dates at the cost of the heavenly upgrade and biscuit.

How do you get the Halloween cookies?
There are seven Halloween cookie upgrades: Skull, Ghost, Bat, Slime, Pumpkin, Eyeball, and Spider. They are random drops from popping wrinklers during the season, so you must have One Mind, which enables wrinklers. The Halloween season reference lists a minimum 5% base drop chance per eligible wrinkler pop; because the drops are random, that chance does not guarantee a cookie on any particular pop.
Each upgrade has a listed base price of 444,444,444,444 cookies and adds a +2% cookie-production multiplier. Completing the set earns the Spooky Cookies achievement, which the reference says increases Halloween cookie drop frequency in future playthroughs. These are in-game values listed by the community wiki; consult the current in-game descriptions for version-specific details.
