Hamster Kombat is a Telegram-based game in which players take the role of a virtual crypto-exchange CEO. It later added HMSTR, a digital token on The Open Network (TON). The game and the token are related, but they are not the same thing—and announcements about the wider HamsterVerse do not by themselves confirm that every feature is currently available.
How Hamster Kombat works as a game
The project’s July 30, 2024 whitepaper describes Hamster Kombat as a “crypto exchange CEO simulator game built on Telegram.” Its premise is to develop a virtual crypto exchange through gameplay. The available information here does not establish the current mechanics, so it is not enough to provide a reliable up-to-date play guide.
The same whitepaper reported 300 million players as of its publication. That is a historical figure stated by the project, not an independently audited or current player count.
What HMSTR is—and how it relates to the game
HMSTR is a fungible digital token on TON, described in a Kraken-hosted crypto-asset disclosure as the native token of the Hamster Kombat ecosystem. It is not the game itself, a physical item, or a guarantee of a reward for playing. Kraken’s disclosure records a maximum supply of 100,000,000,000 HMSTR; that figure is a maximum supply, not the amount currently circulating.

- Brushy is a lifelike Hamster stuffed animal with realistically patterned gold and white plush fur. High quality materials and silky polyester fill make Brushy a squeezably soft stuffed animal that will hold up to hours of play and cuddling.
- Inquisitive eyes, stitched facial details, and tiny ears and paws bring our playful critter to life. The size of a real Hamster, Brushy is an engaging plush pet.
- Designed in Keene, New Hampshire, U.S.A. by Douglas Cuddle Toys, makers of playful plush toys of exceptional quality for over 60 years.
- Measures 5" (13 cm) high.
- Safe for all ages over 24 months, surface washable.
The disclosure says HMSTR launched on September 26, 2024, alongside a major airdrop and exchange listings. Hamster Kombat’s official Telegram announcement channel said players could receive their drop through exchanges, Telegram Wallet, or in-game holdings. It also described a “Mintless Jetton” process in which tokens were minted on-chain when first moved. Those statements describe the announced distribution process; they do not establish that a particular account can still claim or access tokens.
What HamsterVerse means
Hamster Kombat’s official channel has described HamsterVerse as an entertainment ecosystem built around the game’s characters and stories, with games intended to use HMSTR. The channel has also announced a DAO and a proposed Hamster L2 blockchain. These are project descriptions and announcements; they do not independently establish implementation, performance, or present availability.

A later official-channel announcement promoted converting unclaimed and vested HMSTR into HamsterVerse Gold for in-game items and events. This is a specific offer, not evidence that every holder or every token qualifies, or that the offer remains open. Check the live official app or channel for current terms before relying on it.
Is Hamster Kombat still active?
The available information does not establish the current status of the core game, its mechanics, regional availability, or which announced ecosystem features are live. It therefore cannot support a definitive claim that all parts of Hamster Kombat are currently active or available. For a present-tense answer, check the official app and announcement channel directly.

What to know before treating it as an investment
HMSTR is a crypto asset, so gameplay should not be treated as a promise of profit, token value, eligibility, or future rewards. The project’s whitepaper includes the disclaimer: “this whitepaper is in no way an incentive to invest // informative purposes only”. Token access and value can involve risks distinct from playing the game.
