What is ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet?
Grand Gourmet is a management sim set in the ONE PIECE universe, not an announced action-adventure or fighting game. The story begins when an impostor restaurant harms Baratie’s reputation. Luffy and Sanji respond by opening a second location, Baratie Number Two, and you play a rookie staff member responsible for helping it succeed. The publisher advertises more than 400 ONE PIECE characters and more than 200 furniture, building and decorative items. Those are Bandai Namco feature counts, not independently measured totals, and the final distribution or usefulness of the content has not been demonstrated in a public review.

Cooking starts with gathering ingredients and searching for recipes. The official description says you mix ingredients with Sanji, cook dishes, plate them and decorate the plates before combining food and visual elements into set menus. Design Baratie Number Two
You arrange furniture and decorations and customize the restaurant’s layout. The gameplay guide says furniture can create different moods around tables, giving placement a customer-facing purpose instead of making decoration purely cosmetic. Customers can also open special shops inside the restaurant, which suggests that expanding the floor plan can add services or reasons for visitors to return.
Bandai Namco’s advertised pool of over 200 furniture, building and decorative items covers the objects used to shape the venue. The sources do not publish a complete catalog, grid size, placement restrictions or a confirmed room-by-room construction system, so those details should be checked in the finished version rather than assumed from the item count.
Serve characters with different preferences
Character customers do not all want the same meal or atmosphere. Bandai Namco Europe’s guide states: “Each character has their own preferences when it comes to food and décor.” Fulfilling those requests is described as a way to grow the restaurant’s fanbase and encourage return visits. In practical terms, the restaurant is meant to make you balance menu choices with room design. A dish that succeeds for one visitor may not be the best fit for another, while furniture and the mood around a table can affect whether a customer’s request is met. The available sources do not disclose numerical satisfaction ratings, failure penalties, queue limits or whether preferences change over time.
Expand the business and train the crew
As Baratie Number Two grows, the guide says you can go out to search for ingredients, train crew members to improve service and encounter more characters. Expansion therefore links the kitchen, the dining room and the staff: new discoveries support new dishes, training is intended to improve operations and a larger restaurant brings additional visitors.
The sources do not state the maximum restaurant size, the number of training levels, the length of a campaign or whether there is an endless mode. Is it an action game, or a restaurant simulator?
Everything officially described points to a restaurant-management simulation. You make menus, decorate rooms, respond to customer preferences and expand the business. Ingredient searches and crew training are presented as management activities, not as a separate combat system. The ONE PIECE setting supplies the characters, events and visual identity; the core decisions concern food, layout, staffing and growth.
Steam identifies the game as single-player. Nintendo’s Switch 2 listing identifies single-system play. No reviewed official listing announces online or local multiplayer, co-op, competitive modes or a second playable manager. If multiplayer is important to your purchase decision, treat its absence from the current listings as a reason to verify the final store description rather than as proof that a later mode is impossible.
Platforms and release dates
Bandai Namco lists five platform families. The two Nintendo versions have separate US store pages, while the PC edition is distributed through Steam. iOS and Android are announced platforms, but the reviewed material does not establish that mobile listings are live in every country.

The date discrepancy is real but narrow: Bandai Namco’s announcement, its European product page and both Nintendo listings use October 23, 2026, while the Steam page shows October 22, 2026.
