You lead Hawks, a former Republic officer, and a hired team of unconventional specialists through combat missions and investigations in an original story. EA says the game launched worldwide on August 27, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
What is Star Wars Zero Company?
Developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games, Star Wars Zero Company is built around planning squad actions rather than controlling a character in real time. Its campaign follows Hawks, a former Republic officer who commands Zero Company, a group of professionals for hire drawn from across the galaxy. The game presents the Clone Wars through a boots-on-the-ground story set in its final period, moving between unfamiliar and recognizable locations. StarWars.com’s 2025 reveal described the protagonist as a character and role audiences had not seen before.
EA’s later launch account names the campaign’s central threat: the Infinite Coil, a Separatist-aligned cult led by Kundri Fathom, whose actions are connected to the Shadow Plague. Lucasfilm Games has described the tone as drawing on the political intrigue of Andor, the gritty battles of Rogue One, and the wit and wisdom of A New Hope.
How does the gameplay work?
Plan turn-based squad combat
Combat is turn-based: players position squad members and choose their actions instead of fighting in real time. EA describes the game as a tactics-focused alternative to action-led Star Wars games. The official feature descriptions emphasize tactical operations alongside investigations and other mission types in a cinematic campaign. These are publisher-described features, not independent gameplay-test findings.

It is single-player only. EA Help says the game has no online or competitive multiplayer, online co-op, local or split-screen co-op, or other online social features. What editions and buying options are available?
EA Help lists Standard and Deluxe editions. Deluxe adds cosmetic content and weapon themes. EA’s launch announcement also describes a Collector’s Edition with a themed Hasbro Black Series Thermal Detonator, a Steelbook, a desk mat, and other items; that announcement does not establish current price or present retail availability.

Who is Star Wars Zero Company for?
It is a natural fit for players who enjoy deliberate, turn-based squad tactics, assembling a team with different roles, and a story-led campaign in the Clone Wars era. It is not a choice for someone seeking co-op or competitive multiplayer. PC players should compare their hardware with EA’s full requirements, while console buyers can choose between digital editions and physical Standard Edition copies where retailers have them.
