Ghoul is a strong alternative if your priority is staying alive through repeated PvE fights, especially with Buddha. Neither choice has been shown to level faster in a controlled comparison, so the best race depends on your build and how you grind.
Which Race V4 should you choose for grinding?
Race V4, also called Race Awakening, does not have an established universal winner for grinding. The available race descriptions explain abilities and offer qualitative assessments; they do not compare experience gained per hour or time to defeat the same enemies.
| Race | What may help with grinding | Trade-off or evidence limit |
|---|---|---|
| Cyborg | Energy Control chains damage to nearby enemies, making it the clearest fit here for groups. | The race page says it lacks passive movement buffs; its grinding recommendation is qualitative, not a measured speed result. |
| Ghoul | Life-leech effects can support survival in repeated PvE fights and are described as particularly useful with Buddha. | Life leech has limitations, and the source does not establish a universal benefit across builds. |
| Human | Its V4 gears emphasize damage and mobility, which may suit a build centered on those strengths. | The race page notes a lack of defense, and does not identify Human as the strongest grinding-specific choice. |
| Angel | The race is described as good for grinding, with V4 abilities focused on combat, stun, and damage. | The available description does not show that Angel outperforms Cyborg or Ghoul for leveling. |
These are mechanic-based choices, not a verified leveling-speed ranking. The race descriptions are community wiki material, not official developer guidance.
Why Cyborg is the clearest group-grinding choice
Cyborg’s V4 Energy Control chains damage to nearby enemies. If your routine involves gathering several targets and fighting them together, that area effect is the most directly relevant mechanic among the candidates compared here. The race page also calls Cyborg good for grinding, but that description is qualitative.

The trade-off is movement: Cyborg lacks passive movement buffs. If much of your time goes to traveling between quest targets rather than fighting groups, the available evidence does not show that Cyborg will make your overall route faster.
When Ghoul may suit your build better
Ghoul is worth considering when staying alive through sustained PvE matters more than maximizing damage against clustered enemies. Its life-leech effects are described as useful in PvE and raids, particularly alongside Buddha. That makes Ghoul a plausible sustain-focused option, not a guaranteed best choice for every Buddha user: the source also notes limitations to life leech.

How Human and Angel fit
Human: damage and mobility
Human’s V4 gears are described in terms of damage and mobility. Those strengths can fit a player who values offense and movement, but the race’s lack of defense makes it less straightforward as a cautious grinding recommendation.
Angel: a viable option without a proven edge
Angel is also described as good for grinding. Its documented strengths focus on combat, stun, and damage, but the available descriptions do not establish a comparative leveling advantage over Cyborg or Ghoul.

What to weigh before choosing
- Enemy groups: Choose Cyborg if chaining damage among nearby targets is central to your routine.
- Sustain: Consider Ghoul if life leech better supports your repeated PvE fights, especially with Buddha.
- Travel: Account for time spent moving between targets; Cyborg has no passive movement buff, and the descriptions do not provide a comparable travel-speed benchmark for every race.
- Your build: Human emphasizes damage and mobility; Ghoul’s sustain is build-dependent; an ability’s usefulness is not the same as a measured increase in leveling speed.
- How certain the comparison is: The cited pages provide qualitative descriptions, not a consistent test of races using the same fruit, enemies, and route.
Race V4 prerequisites and progression
The Blox Fruits race overview lists defeating Rip_Indra and Dough King and unlocking Race V3 among the general prerequisites for Race V4. The player then starts through the Sealed King. Race-specific quests, puzzles, and trials also apply.
The same overview says Race V2 requires the Alchemist quest, while V3 requires V2, level 1,000, Don Swan, and a race-specific Arowe quest. These are game mechanics that may change; check the current in-game requirements before planning your progression.
