Legend Division is a separate ranked playlist, not a higher Champion division, and it has its own account requirements. The details below come from Ubisoft announcements dated May 17, 2026, June 26, 2026 and September 1, 2026, so check the in-game playlist menu if anything has changed since.
Champion I: the top standard division
Champion is the top rank tier in Siege’s standard Ranked ladder. Ubisoft’s Ranked 3.0 update, published May 17, 2026, says Champion now has five divisions and names Champion I as the rank featured on the leaderboard. Champion I is therefore the answer to “highest rank” for anyone playing the regular ranked queue.
Ubisoft’s developers have also explained what Champion is meant to represent. In a Community Checkpoint published June 26, 2026, they wrote:
“Champion Rank: designed to be the highest achievement in Siege that reflects sustained high-level performance, and cannot be attained simply through placements.”

#1 Best Overall
- 1,200 in-game credits for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.
- Use these credits in-game to purchase the newest Operators, uniforms, weapon skins, charms, and more!
- R6 Credit code will be delivered via email from Amazon and redeemed in the Ubisoft Connect launcher
In practice, that means Champion is meant to reflect a sustained run of results, not a strong start to one season.
Legend Division is a playlist, not a division
Legend Division is a separate ranked playlist. Ubisoft describes it as a new ranked mode, not a sixth tier or a division within Champion. Ubisoft’s Ranked 3.0 update said the Legend Division would replace the Champion I leaderboard feature in Season 3, and the September 1, 2026 Operation Split Fire announcement says the Legend playlist launches mid-season.

How players reach Champion
Each season follows the same opening sequence, and Rank Points decide how far a player climbs after that.
- Play five placement matches. Each season begins with five placements, as set out in the May 17, 2026 Ranked 3.0 update.
- Receive a starting rank. The placements determine the rank you start the season at.
- Gain or lose Rank Points (RP) per match. The change depends on the match result and the relative rank balance of the two teams.
- Understand the upside and downside of matchups. Ubisoft says winning against stronger teams can yield more RP, while losing to lower-ranked teams can produce a larger penalty.
Ubisoft has not published an exact RP threshold for reaching Champion in the announcements covered here, so no specific point target can be quoted.
Rank #4
- Jump into the latest expansion, Operation Phantom Sight, and play as the two new operators, Nokk and Warden
- Command an arsenal of gadgets to secure the win: Set traps, fly drones, track footsteps, see through walls, and more
- Lead your teammates to victory in intense, fast paced PVP matches across a wide variety of destructible arenas
- Join a massive online community of over 45 million players as you fight for supremacy
- An ever expanding universe of Operators, gadgets, items, and events updated all year long
Seasonal rewards and a later derank
Rank-based seasonal rewards are tied to the highest rank a player reaches during that season. If a player later drops to a lower rank, the seasonal peak still counts for those rewards. The May 2026 announcement says the rank-based seasonal charm and card background are delivered at the start of the next season.
For a Champion-level player, this means one strong stretch can secure the reward even if the rank drops before the season ends.
