The Mimic is a horror experience on Roblox made by CTStudio. Its official description says it contains four stories drawing on Japanese history and urban legends, with players taking on different characters in strange worlds. “Chapter 4” is ambiguous, because more than one chapter carries that name. This guide covers Jealousy’s Book Chapter 4, the final chapter of Jealousy’s Book. Control’s Book Chapter IV is a separate chapter and is covered briefly at the end.
What The Mimic is
The Mimic is a Roblox experience, not a standalone game you install separately. The official listing describes four stories and warns players about flashing lights, loud noises, and jumpscares. CTStudio recommends headphones, with the line “For the best experience use headphones.” That recommendation is part of the official description and is not tied to a particular individual developer.
Which “Chapter 4” you mean
Search results and guide headings use several variants, including “Jealousy Chapter 4,” “The Mimic Book 2 Chapter 4,” and “Control’s Book Chapter 4.” Before following any route, confirm which book your save or menu shows. The two chapters below are different content and should not be mixed.

Getting in and moving around
Roblox’s general controls apply to The Mimic, but they do not map every chapter-specific action. Use these steps to start:

- Open The Mimic’s official experience page on Roblox and launch it from there. Roblox Creator Hub describes opening an experience from its page in the Roblox client.
- On desktop, move with W, A, S, and D or the arrow keys, and jump with Space.
- On mobile, use the virtual movement area on the screen, the jump button, and touch-drag on the screen to move the camera.
- When a prompt appears for an object or action, follow the on-screen instruction. Chapter-specific inputs are not covered by the general Roblox controls.
Jealousy’s Book Chapter 4: how the route is built
A beginner guide and a May 31, 2025 walkthrough list the chapter’s objectives in sequence. The outline below follows that order, but the exact steps, puzzle inputs, and routes should be checked against the live game, since game content can change after a guide is published.
Opening escape
The walkthrough begins with an escape sequence tied to the Enzukai storyline. Expect to move quickly and keep track of where objectives appear on screen.

Hotel and mall objectives
The route then moves through a hotel and a mall, each with its own objectives. Treat these as separate locations: items and clues found in one area are not guaranteed to carry over to the next.
Eyeballs and the speaker
The beginner guide describes collecting eyeballs and carrying a speaker as part of progression. Carrying an item is a progression requirement, so keep it in your inventory until the objective that asks for it is complete.

Chases and the quiz
The walkthrough includes chase sequences followed by a quiz. Read each question before answering, and do not assume the quiz is optional.
Car sequence
A driving segment comes next, in which you control a car through the sequence the walkthrough shows. This is the most likely point for a route to change between game updates.

The chapter ends with a final encounter. The beginner guide says players must complete both the good and bad endings to earn the lantern rewards it covers, so do not stop after the first ending if you want those rewards.
If you get stuck
- Check the walkthrough’s publication date. The May 2025 material predates any updates released since then.
- Match the objective on your screen to the sequence above before following a timestamp.
- Keep carried items until the matching objective is complete.
- Do not apply Control’s Book Chapter IV steps here. The two chapters are separate.
Control’s Book Chapter IV, briefly
If your menu shows Control’s Book, the community wiki describes Chapter IV as the fourth and final chapter, with four parts and two endings. Those release dates come from community records and are not an official release notice. This guide does not provide a route for that chapter.
