Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Illidan Genji is the strongest candidate for the rarest Genji skin in Overwatch 2. Blizzard originally tied it to the limited-time 2019 BlizzCon Virtual Ticket, but Blizzard has not published skin ownership figures, so there is no verified ranking of which Genji skin is least owned.
Why Illidan Genji is the leading candidate
Blizzard’s 2019 BlizzCon Virtual Ticket announcement listed “Illidan Genji – Legendary Skin” among the Overwatch items associated with the ticket. The announcement said the skins would be available in-game before BlizzCon. That ticket-based release was a more restricted original route than a skin offered through an ongoing or recurring in-game shop.
The original purchase window had a defined end point: a Blizzard forum post reproduced the company’s February 6, 2020 notice that it was the last day to purchase the 2019 Virtual Ticket. This supports Illidan Genji’s case as a rare skin by acquisition history, but it does not tell us how many players own it.
What “rarest” means here
Rarity can refer to how limited a skin’s original release was, whether it has returned since, or how many players own it. Those measures are not interchangeable. The available sources establish Illidan Genji’s original ticket distribution, but they do not provide comparable ownership rates or establish whether the skin has returned through a later promotion.

- Comfort Grip with Details - The skin-friendly frosted coating is the main comfort grip of the mouse surface, which offers you the most enjoyable fingerprint-free tactility. The left side equipped with rubber texture strengthened the friction and made the mouse easier to control.
- 5 Decent Backlit Modes - Turn the backlit on and make some kills in your gaming battlefield. The hyped dynamic RGB backlit vibe will never let you down when decorating your gaming space, it would be better with other Redragon accessories with lights on.
- Fatigue Killer with Ergonomic Design - Solid frame with a streamlined and general claw-grip design offers a satisfying and comfortable gaming experience with less fatigue even though after hours of use.
- Original acquisition restriction: Illidan Genji was associated with the limited-time 2019 Virtual Ticket.
- Later availability: The cited sources do not settle whether Illidan Genji has returned or what its current availability is.
- Ownership prevalence: Blizzard has not published comparable counts showing how many players own each Genji skin.
Is Cyberdemon Genji rarer because it is Mythic?
No conclusion about comparative rarity follows from its Mythic tier alone. Blizzard’s Mythic Shop announcement says earlier Mythic skins, including Cyberdemon Genji, can be selected through the shop’s seasonal cycle. That is a different acquisition route from Illidan Genji’s original BlizzCon ticket distribution, but it does not establish how many players own either skin.
Can you still get Illidan Genji?
The original Virtual Ticket sale ended on February 6, 2020, according to Blizzard’s notice reproduced in the forum post. The sources cited here do not confirm whether Illidan Genji has since returned through another promotion or whether it is currently obtainable. A 2026 community forum discussion describes the original route as a BlizzCon goodie bag and says the skin was not available outside it, but that is community commentary rather than official evidence about present-day availability: the discussion.
