In Forza Horizon 5, the first scripted drive uses a Ford Bronco Badlands, but you later choose one of three starting cars: a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe C8, a 2021 Ford Bronco, or a 2020 Toyota GR Supra. So the answer depends on whether you mean the opening vehicle or the car you select as your starter.
Which car do you drive first in Forza Horizon 5?
The opening sequence begins in a Ford Bronco Badlands on the Gran Caldera volcano. The scripted drive heads toward the Baja off-road racing circuit; this is a set opening vehicle, not the later three-car selection. Playground Games described the Initial Drive in its August 24, 2021 announcement.

Which starter cars can you choose?
After the first drive, you can create your character and choose one of three starting cars, according to Playground Games’ Forza Horizon 5 Starting Guide, dated April 24, 2025:
| Selectable starting car | Vehicle type |
|---|---|
| 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe C8 | Sports car |
| 2021 Ford Bronco | Off-road SUV |
| 2020 Toyota GR Supra | Sports car |
The guide names the cars but does not establish which is fastest, easiest to handle, or best for a beginner. Pick based on which one you would rather drive; the evidence here does not support ranking them by performance.

Does this answer apply to every Forza Horizon game?
No. The title does not identify a specific installment, and the three choices above are for Forza Horizon 5 only. A community-forum discussion about Forza Horizon 3 describes a different opening sequence, but it is a player account rather than an official series-wide guide: see the Forza Community Forums discussion. Check the specific game before applying its opening-car answer to another entry.
