The context matters—there is no single Roblox game or feature identified by the word alone.
Does “Void” mean a Roblox game?
It can. Roblox has multiple distinct experiences with Void in their names, and the title alone is not enough to identify which one someone means. Check the experience page’s exact title, creator, genre, and description.
| Experience | Creator | Listing description |
|---|---|---|
| Void | @ovenmites | Listed as an Adventure/Story experience about recovering relics and restoring light. |
| VOID | 404 Productions | Described as a horror scenario involving a warped reality and creatures. Its listing warns of jumpscares, sudden and loud noises, flashing lights, and potentially disturbing content. |
These are different experiences, not alternate descriptions of one game. Listings and their details can change. If you are trying to find a particular one, use its creator name or share the Roblox experience link rather than searching for “Void” alone.
What does “fell into the void” mean?
Players often use “the void” informally for the empty space beneath a level. In Roblox Studio, a relevant engine setting is Workspace.FallenPartsDestroyHeight. The Roblox Creator Hub documentation says that falling BaseParts and their ancestor Models below this height are removed from Workspace by being parented to nil.

The related Workspace.FallHeightEnabled setting controls whether this automatic cleanup occurs; it defaults to true. This describes what happens to parts, not a universal rule for how every game handles a player character. A particular experience may reset, respawn, or otherwise handle a fall according to its own character logic.
What does “void” mean in Roblox scripting?
In API and type-annotation discussions, void may describe a function return type that indicates the function returns no value. A Roblox Wiki API reference uses the term in that sense. It is a type description, not an in-world location or a normal runtime value; do not treat it as interchangeable with nil.

How can you tell which meaning someone intends?
- If they mention a creator, game page, genre, or story, they probably mean a specific experience named Void.
- If they say a character fell through the map or below the level, they mean the space under the map and the game’s fall handling.
- If they are discussing a function, return annotation, or API reference, they may mean the scripting type.
