At Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 20, 2024, KRAFTON showed new footage for both inZOI and Dark and Darker Mobile. The first is a PC life simulation about creating characters and shaping a community; the second is a mobile dungeon-extraction RPG built around loot and PvPvE combat. A separate Gamescom developer showcase supplied more detail than the trailers alone.
What KRAFTON showed at Opening Night Live
The two trailers took different approaches. Inven Global described the inZOI pre-show segment as a brief gameplay demonstration, showing the life simulation’s visuals and lifestyle options. The Dark and Darker Mobile trailer used live-action elements and a protagonist’s point of view rather than presenting a conventional gameplay walkthrough. It followed a trio through repeated failures, revivals, and eventual progress in a challenging dungeon run. Inven Global reported on the footage on August 21, 2024.
What KRAFTON added at its Gamescom showcase
The developer presentations went beyond the short ONL footage. Producer and director Hyungjun Kim discussed inZOI’s creative vision and features. Executive producer Jooseok Ahn covered Dark and Darker Mobile’s development, gameplay, and mobile optimization. KRAFTON’s August 22, 2024 recap described the features and historical announcements presented at the event.
What is inZOI?
KRAFTON presented inZOI as a life simulation in which players create characters and homes, share creations through Canvas, and influence the wider city with a system called Community Simulation. The company said players could decorate more than 200 locations and adjust citizens’ emotions and consciousness, helping generate changing community events and stories. It also showed an image-to-decoration feature using a 3D-printer concept. These are features described at the 2024 showcase, not confirmation of what is available in the game today.

Its showcase covered classes, combat, the interface, and the game’s player-versus-player-versus-environment (PvPvE) structure. The ONL trailer emphasized the difficulty and persistence of dungeon runs through its cinematic story rather than serving as a standard gameplay demonstration.
