The item you’re looking for is Isma’s Tear. Despite the question’s wording, it is an ability, not a charm: it lets the Knight swim in acidic water without harm.

The game description says: “Swim in acidic waters without coming to any harm.” Isma’s Tear is useful for crossing acid safely, but it is not required to complete the game. The item reference identifies it as an ability.
Where do you find Isma’s Tear?
It is found in Isma’s Grove, within the Royal Waterways, according to the item reference.
What do you need to reach Isma’s Grove?
A secondary walkthrough says the route requires Crystal Heart and that defeating the Dung Defender opens the way. These are guide-reported route requirements; the item reference gives the location but does not confirm those prerequisites.
