A report by RockstarINTEL says the issue includes at least one new screenshot and offers fresh detail on how Rockstar is approaching Jason and Lucia, Leonida’s fictional world and the writing behind its ambient life. Those comments add context, but they do not replace Rockstar’s official story synopsis or amount to a full plot reveal.
What did LOVE Magazine reveal about GTA 6?
The feature’s reported value is less a new plot synopsis than a look at the people and craft behind the game. According to RockstarINTEL’s coverage of the LOVE interview, Rockstar writers discussed how they shape Jason and Lucia, how the pair may learn from one another, and how details such as advertising and radio help make Leonida feel inhabited.
RockstarINTEL reports that LOVE Issue 27 includes a GTA VI article, cover and images, including at least one new screenshot. The report does not establish an exact count of new LOVE screenshots, so it is best not to assign one.
What is the confirmed story setup for Jason and Lucia?
Rockstar’s official GTA VI page describes Jason and Lucia as caught in a criminal conspiracy across Leonida after an easy score goes wrong. They are forced to depend on each other. That remains the clearest official account of the premise; the magazine comments reported so far do not disclose a complete sequence of story events.

How the writers describe the protagonists
RockstarINTEL reports that writer Alexa D’Agostino approached Lucia with empathy informed by women she knows, while aiming to portray Lucia and Jason as fully realised people with their own wants. D’Agostino is quoted as saying: “When you are focusing on writing a fully realised person with their own wants, you’re going to get something perfectly imperfect—with clichés, but also undeniably real.”
Game writer Elizabeth Gauvey-Kern, as quoted in the VICE preview, says the team wanted both protagonists to be “vulnerable, tough, flawed, right sometimes, wrong sometimes, able to learn from each other.” The emphasis is on a relationship between imperfect characters, not a claim that either one is always a hero or always in the wrong.

Raul’s reported role
RockstarINTEL’s account describes Raul as an older mentor who knows Vice City and its criminal environment better than Jason and Lucia, who are arriving there. The report does not provide enough detail to establish how his role develops across the plot.
How is GTA 6’s open world meant to feel alive?
The reported interview describes world-building that extends beyond people the player meets face to face. Rockstar Senior Vice President of Narrative Rupert Humphries points to signs, campaign robocalls, radio commercials, political talk shows and the culture around them as ways Leonida communicates its character.

That approach makes ambient sound and background messaging part of the setting’s storytelling. Rather than relying only on missions or direct conversations, the world can suggest what its residents care about and what kind of place they inhabit. RockstarINTEL also reports that the writing team includes people focused on pedestrian dialogue and advertising or comedy writing across several cities.
Why the writing is technically demanding
Open-world writer James Horton describes the work as technically challenging because dialogue and NPC relationships have to connect across many game systems. RockstarINTEL reproduces his explanation: “There are no shortcuts when it comes to building a world like this: it’s a question of giving the right people the resources they need to build something that’s not only vast and varied as a whole, but where every part rings true no matter how small it is, or how closely you look at it.”

The counts refer to different collections and should not be combined. RockstarINTEL reports that LOVE Issue 27 contains at least one new screenshot, without establishing a precise number. Separately, Game Informer’s September 2026 cover reveal says its own feature is accompanied by 12 new exclusive screenshots. Rockstar’s official media gallery showed 99 screenshots when accessed October 7, 2026; that is a live-gallery count, not a count of LOVE images, and it can change.
