BTS member V is best known to fans as TaeTae. BIGHIT MUSIC’s official profile for him also lists “Good Boy” and “Teddy Bear” as names fans use, and he uses a separate name, Vante, for his photography and art work.
The short answer
If you need one name, use TaeTae. It is the first nickname BIGHIT MUSIC lists for V in his official profile, and it is the one most commonly cited when fans refer to him casually. The profile names two more: Good Boy and Teddy Bear. Taken together, these are the three nicknames the agency presents as the ones fans know him by.

The three fan nicknames
The official BIGHIT MUSIC profile states that V is “known to fans as TaeTae, Good Boy, or Teddy Bear.” The agency presents all three on equal footing, so none should be described as the universal or only name. The sources establish that these names are documented and in use, not how often each one appears across languages or fan communities.

- TaeTae: the lead name in the official profile and the answer to the question as asked.
- Good Boy: listed alongside TaeTae and Teddy Bear in the same official profile.
- Teddy Bear: listed in the same official profile as the third fan name.
Vante is a separate name, not a fan nickname
Vante is often grouped with V’s nicknames, but it works differently. BIGHIT MUSIC says V uses the name Vante when sharing his photography. Weverse Magazine describes its origin: it began as an alternate ego for talking about his photography hobby, and as he kept discussing artists and their work, it “grew into something bigger.” So Vante is a persona tied to his creative output rather than a name fans assigned to him. It can appear in fan conversation about his photos and art, but it is not one of the names the official profile lists as fan usage.

Extra nicknames and lore
Fan-run roundups go further. Koreaboo’s list includes “gomdori” and describes stories tied to his school friends and a fan-meeting anecdote. This is secondary reporting, not something the official profile confirms, so treat those origin stories as fan-circulated accounts rather than established facts. They are not needed to answer the question.

When you write about V for a general audience, lead with TaeTae, then mention Good Boy and Teddy Bear as the other names the agency lists. Reserve Vante for context about his photography and art, and label any extra nicknames from fan lists as fan-reported.
