NVIDIA GeForce’s September 28, 2016 video shows multiplayer PC gameplay that NVIDIA described as 4K at 60 frames per second, captured on a TITAN X. That is NVIDIA’s description of a promotional clip, not proof that every scene—or every PC with a TITAN X—runs at a sustained 60 FPS. NVIDIA’s separate benchmark guide reports 56 FPS at 4K on a TITAN X, a result that helps put the video’s claim in context.
What is shown in NVIDIA’s Titanfall 2 video?
The video, Titanfall 2: EXCLUSIVE Multiplayer 4K 60 FPS PC Gameplay – On TITAN X!, was published by NVIDIA GeForce on September 28, 2016. Its description calls the clip “exclusive, first ever Titanfall 2 4K gameplay footage running at 60 frames per second, captured on a TITAN X!” The listing identifies it as multiplayer PC gameplay and names the TITAN X as the capture hardware.

NVIDIA’s later Titanfall 2 graphics and performance guide describes the showcase footage as 3840×2160 (4K) at 60 FPS. Both statements are NVIDIA’s own descriptions; neither is an independent analysis of the video.

Not as a general performance guarantee. NVIDIA’s guide reports that its TITAN X benchmark reached 56 FPS at 4K. That figure is from NVIDIA’s separate benchmark, not a measurement of the video’s capture, and the guide’s quoted result does not establish that the video itself ran at 56 FPS. The two claims describe different kinds of evidence:

| Evidence | What NVIDIA says | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Promotional gameplay video, September 28, 2016 | Multiplayer PC gameplay described as 4K at 60 FPS, captured on a TITAN X | NVIDIA’s stated description of the footage; not a broad guarantee of sustained performance |
| Separate NVIDIA guide benchmark, 2016 | 56 FPS at 4K on a TITAN X | NVIDIA’s result for its benchmark; not an independent reproduction or the video’s capture measurement |
So the careful answer is: NVIDIA said it captured the clip at 4K and 60 FPS on a TITAN X, while its separate benchmark reported 56 FPS at 4K. These figures do not show that 60 FPS is sustained in every scene or on every system.
Which TITAN X was used?
The video description says only “TITAN X.” It does not specify the card generation, CPU, driver, graphics settings, or the complete test PC. The available description also does not establish whether footage was edited or sampled in a way that demonstrates continuous native-rate output. Do not infer a Pascal TITAN X—or any other specific revision—from the video title alone.

Why the clip is historical, not a current benchmark
The video dates from September 2016. HotHardware’s September 28, 2016 archive listing placed Titanfall 2’s PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One release at the end of the following month. That is release-window context from 2016, not a statement about current availability or hardware performance.

The clip is useful as a record of what NVIDIA promoted at the time. Its description and NVIDIA’s later guide do not provide enough detail to reproduce the video’s exact capture setup or generalize its frame rate to other TITAN X systems.
