Play Assassin’s Creed II, then Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, then Assassin’s Creed Revelations. Those are the three games in Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection, and they follow Ezio Auditore’s story in that order. If you want the short-film epilogue as well, watch Assassin’s Creed Embers after Revelations.
The play order for the three games
- Assassin’s Creed II. This is where Ezio Auditore is introduced, so it is the natural starting point for his arc. Ubisoft’s series-order guide treats it as the entry point for the character. (Ubisoft: How to Play the Assassin’s Creed Games In Order)
- Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. It continues Ezio’s story directly from II, and the collection presents it as the middle entry.
- Assassin’s Creed Revelations. It closes out Ezio’s saga within the collection and is the last of the three campaigns.
The collection includes these three campaigns along with single-player add-on content. Ubisoft’s announcement for the Nintendo Switch release describes the bundle this way (Ubisoft: The Ezio Collection Available Now on Switch). The PlayStation and Xbox store pages list the same three campaigns, so the order does not change between platforms (PlayStation: The Ezio Collection and Xbox: The Ezio Collection).

Where the bonus films fit
The collection also includes bonus films. Only one of them belongs in the story sequence. The table below shows where each one goes.
| Title | Type | Where it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Assassin’s Creed II | Game | First |
| Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood | Game | Second |
| Assassin’s Creed Revelations | Game | Third |
| Assassin’s Creed Embers | Short film | After Revelations, as an epilogue to Ezio’s saga. Ubisoft describes it as set after Revelations. |
| Assassin’s Creed Lineage | Short film | Not part of the three-game order. PlayStation’s listing includes it among the bonus films. |
Embers and Lineage: what to do with the films
Embers is the only bonus film that continues the story after the final game. It is not a fourth game, so you do not need to play anything beyond Revelations to reach it. Watch it once you finish the third campaign.
