It was a change to store-page metadata—not a release announcement or proof that the game was about to launch. Team Cherry later confirmed a September 4, 2025 release for those systems, and the game has since launched.
What changed on the Steam page?
Reports on June 6, 2025, said the Steam listing had added support for Windows, Mac, and Linux. The change identified the operating systems associated with the Steam release; it did not announce a date or say that a launch was imminent. Contemporary reporting also noted fan speculation, but the platform entries alone did not confirm it.
Steam store metadata can tell readers which platforms a listing supports. It should not be treated as a substitute for a developer announcement about when a game will be released.
What happened after the update?
Team Cherry later announced on its official Steam announcements feed: “Releasing September 4 for Windows, Mac & Linux.” Steam lists the release date as September 4, 2025. The game has since been released, and its current Steam listing names Windows, macOS, and SteamOS + Linux.
