The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 4 free trial ran from May 30 through June 3, 2025, and has ended. It offered Multiplayer and Zombies, including three featured new Multiplayer maps, five Zombies maps, and the Team Elimination and Grief modes. “Full Multiplayer” had an important exception: Ranked Play was not included.
When did the Black Ops 6 Season 4 free trial run?
Activision announced the trial on May 29, 2025, with access scheduled for May 30 through June 3. Season 04 itself launched May 29 at 9 a.m. PT, so the season launch date and the trial start date were different. The offer is no longer available. Activision’s trial announcement has the original dates.

What was included in Multiplayer?
The trial opened the Multiplayer maps, modes, and playlists available during the event, including Season 04 content and Team Elimination. It did not include Ranked Play, so “full Multiplayer” is not quite accurate without that qualification.

How Team Elimination worked
Team Elimination gave each team a limited number of lives per round. After an Operator was eliminated, the opposing team could collect that player’s dog tag to confirm the elimination and cost the team a life. A teammate could collect it instead to deny the elimination. The round went to the team that survived longer, or had more lives remaining when time expired.
Which Zombies maps and modes were available?
The trial included all five Zombies maps available at the time, playable in Standard or Directed Mode:

It also included Grief, a competitive 4v4 Zombies mode. Teams fought the undead in separate sections of a map and competed indirectly: players could not directly damage opponents, but could hinder the other team and use Capture Zones to apply temporary debuffs. No. Xbox announced a separate Black Ops 6 Free Play Days event for October 9–16, 2025, for Game Pass members; that later event included Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies. It did not extend or reopen the Season 4 trial, and it does not establish that Game Pass was required for the May–June trial.
