Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 released on October 25, 2024, but its unlock time depended on platform and PC storefront. Battle.net and Steam players had a fixed launch time: October 24 at 9 p.m. Pacific Time (PT). Microsoft PC players had a regional rollout during October 24, from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. PT. The official schedules cited here do not establish console unlock times for every time zone.
Black Ops 6 release times by platform
Activision’s product listing includes PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Microsoft PC Store, Steam, Battle.net, and Game Pass. The detailed clock times published for launch covered PC storefronts, not a universal unlock schedule for every platform.
| Platform or storefront | Official launch information | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Battle.net and Steam on PC | October 24, 2024, at 9 p.m. PT, according to Call of Duty’s October 15, 2024 PC launch announcement. | A fixed Pacific Time launch timestamp for these PC storefronts. |
| Microsoft PC Store / PC Game Pass | Regional rollout on October 24, 2024, between 4 a.m. and 11 p.m. PT, according to Call of Duty’s October 15, 2024 PC launch announcement. | The exact time varied by region; the announcement gives a window, not one global unlock time. |
| PlayStation and Xbox consoles | Not stated in the official timing sources cited here. Activision’s product listing identifies the supported console platforms and the October 25, 2024 release date. | The cited evidence does not establish a console unlock time for each time zone. |
| Game Pass availability | Xbox Wire said the game would launch October 25, 2024, and be available day one with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass in its October 22, 2024 launch guide. | This confirms the date and subscription availability, but does not give a specific Game Pass unlock time. |
Convert the PC launch time to your time zone
For Battle.net or Steam, convert October 24, 2024, at 9 p.m. PT—not October 25 at midnight in your location. PT was Pacific Daylight Time (UTC−7) on that date, so the timestamp was October 25 at 4 a.m. UTC. Use your location’s offset on October 24–25, 2024, because daylight-saving rules can make that different from the offset in effect today.
For Microsoft PC, a single conversion cannot identify your exact unlock: the official announcement gave a regional rollout window of 4 a.m.–11 p.m. PT on October 24. The source does not provide the full region-by-region schedule in the cited statement.

- Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
Why the announced date did not mean one worldwide midnight unlock
Blizzard described the game as “releasing worldwide on Friday, October 25” in its Black Ops 6 reveal article. That wording establishes the worldwide release date; it does not specify one identical local clock time across storefronts. The more detailed PC announcement distinguishes a fixed Battle.net and Steam time from Microsoft PC’s regional rollout.
Because the launch is in the past, these are historical release schedules, not current availability or upcoming countdown times.
