Genshin Impact Version “Luna II” was scheduled to release on October 22, 2025. HoYoverse set update maintenance to begin at 06:00 UTC+8 that day—not the time the game would be playable. The update was due after maintenance ended, but the announcement did not give a confirmed server reopening time.
When did Genshin Impact Luna II release?
HoYoverse announced that Version “Luna II” would be released on October 22, 2025, in the official Genshin Impact video description. The version’s full subtitle was “Song of the Welkin Moon: Reprise — ‘An Elegy for Faded Moonlight.’”
What time did maintenance start?
The Genshin Impact official account said update maintenance would begin at 06:00 (UTC+8) on October 22, 2025. That is 22:00 UTC on October 21, because UTC+8 is eight hours ahead of UTC. Depending on your time zone, the local calendar date may therefore be October 21 rather than October 22.
Maintenance start is not a confirmed playable time: the update was to become available after maintenance finished. The announcement establishes when maintenance began, but not the exact time servers reopened.
