The global launch moment was midnight UTC on December 6, 2024. Both Marvel Rivals’ launch announcement and its pre-download FAQ identify 00:00 UTC on December 6 as the opening time. The announcement gives two U.S. local equivalents:
- Eastern Time: 7:00 p.m. EST on December 5, 2024.
- Pacific Time: 4:00 p.m. PST on December 5, 2024.
The date differs because one global instant can fall on different calendar dates in different time zones. The announcement describes a shared launch time, not separate regional schedules.
Convert the launch time for another time zone
- Start with 00:00 UTC on December 6, 2024.
- Use your location’s UTC offset in effect on that date, including any daylight-saving adjustment.
- Add the offset to UTC. If the result falls before midnight, the local calendar date is December 5; if it is midnight or later, it is December 6.
For example, the official announcement’s EST and PST conversions are five and eight hours behind UTC, respectively, so the instant fell on the evening of December 5 in those zones. The cited launch sources do not provide a complete conversion table for every location.

NetEase described Marvel Rivals as a free-to-play Super Hero team-based PvP shooter, with launch channels including Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Games Store, and the official website. Those details appear in the official launch announcement.
The FAQ’s stated server-opening time is a scheduled availability time, not a guarantee that every player could connect at precisely midnight UTC. The FAQ also noted that queues could occur on the first day.
