If you think Rainbow Six Siege banned you by mistake, first check the notice to identify exactly what was restricted, then submit a focused appeal through Ubisoft Support. A Siege game ban and a Ubisoft account lock are different actions with different scopes. Ubisoft allows sanctions to be appealed for human review, but it does not promise a reversal or a review deadline.
First, identify what was restricted
Use the wording in the in-game or account notice rather than calling every restriction a “ban.” Ubisoft distinguishes temporary Rainbow Six Siege game bans from temporary Ubisoft account locks, and its support page also describes permanent account locks. A match penalty, voice restriction, game ban, and full account lock are not interchangeable.

Ubisoft lists Code of Conduct violations, Ranked disconnections, and repeated team-kill offences as possible reasons for temporary Siege bans. Those examples do not establish why a particular account was sanctioned. Its permanent account-lock guidance discusses account-level concerns such as Terms of Use violations and illegal activity, including phishing, selling, sharing, or fraud. Do not infer that a Siege game ban is a permanent account lock.
How to appeal a Rainbow Six Siege game ban
- Open the appropriate Ubisoft Support topic. For a temporary Siege ban you believe is mistaken, use Ubisoft’s Siege temporary-ban guidance and contact Support. If the notice instead identifies a permanent account lock, use the separate account-lock appeal route.
- Identify your account and the decision. Give your Ubisoft username, the exact restriction shown, and the date and approximate time it appeared. Ubisoft’s permanent-lock appeal instructions explicitly ask for the sanctioned account username and the reason for the appeal.
- Explain why you believe it is mistaken. Keep the explanation specific and factual. Include useful context you can support, such as your platform, the notice’s error text, or a screenshot. These details can help explain your case, but Ubisoft’s permanent-lock page does not identify them as required fields.
- Submit one clear, respectful request. Ubisoft warns that incomplete permanent-lock appeals may be denied and that repeated or abusive contacts do not help. Keep your case reference and a copy of the message you sent.

How to appeal a permanent Ubisoft account lock
Use the instructions in Ubisoft’s permanent account-lock article, rather than treating the lock as a Siege-only ban. Ubisoft asks for the sanctioned Ubisoft account username and the reason for the appeal. Include the information the form or page requests; Ubisoft warns that an appeal missing requested information may be denied.
Ubisoft’s Terms of Use, Article 7.6, state: “These can be appealed and submitted to human review by contacting our customer support at: https://ubisoft.com/help.” This is an opportunity for review, not a guarantee that Ubisoft will reverse a sanction.

After a final review, Ubisoft says a later appeal may be ignored. Avoid sending repeated or abusive messages; keep the case reference and wait for the response to your submitted case.
What an appeal can—and cannot—establish
Explain what you know about your own case, but do not guess at Ubisoft’s detection method. Ubisoft’s Terms of Use say it may use its own or third-party solutions to detect prohibited behavior and apply sanctions; the public terms do not disclose the evidence or detection details behind an individual sanction. Unless you have credible evidence, avoid asserting that a specific anti-cheat false positive caused the ban.

The official pages cited here do not publish an appeal success rate, a number of false positives, or a guaranteed turnaround time.

The official route identified for challenging a sanction is Ubisoft Support. The published instructions do not say that contacting a streamer, buying a peripheral, reinstalling the game, changing hardware, or paying a third-party “unban” service can reverse a ban. Do not share account credentials with anyone offering to remove a restriction.
