A current secondary guide recommends Stigma Shards and Daevanion Crystals as early growth purchases, while another puts accessories—ring, then earrings, then necklace—alongside Stigma Shards as competing priorities. Cosmetics, wings, medals and consumables should wait when your character still has a meaningful combat upgrade available.
Prices, purchase limits and exact breakpoint values are not established by the currently available sources. Check the live Abyss Trade Shop in your client immediately before buying, and do not assume that a guide’s order still matches a later patch.

The short answer: buy progression, not appearance
Abyss Points are most valuable when they remove a problem that is actively slowing your character. If your main Stigmas are missing an affordable upgrade, Stigma Shards are the clearest first check. If Daevanion Crystals advance a currently equipped or imminent upgrade, they can be the better purchase. If your build is held back by a specific accessory slot, buy that accessory instead of following a rigid “shards first” rule.

- Identify the next upgrade your build can actually use.
- Compare that upgrade with the other progression items currently sold.
- Buy only after checking the live price, purchase limit and availability.
- Leave cosmetic and convenience purchases until growth needs are covered.
This approach reflects the difference between the current guides. AllThingsHow’s guide, updated October 10, 2026, recommends Stigma Shards and Daevanion Crystals first. Xtоpolis’s progression guide presents accessories or Stigma Shards as the meaningful choice and advises against mid-tier armor before level 50. Neither source supplies a verified item-by-item value calculation, so your character’s build and bottleneck have to decide the final order.

Unlock and inspect the Abyss Trade Shop first
AllThingsHow states that the Abyss Trade Shop opens at level 45. That is a claim from a secondary guide, not an official shop page or confirmed patch note. When your character reaches the stated level, look for the shop in the live client and confirm that the Abyss Point category, items and buying rules match what the guide describes. A level requirement, menu name or inventory can change with a patch, regional build or launch update.
Before committing points, record four details from the shop screen:
- Which Stigma Shards, Daevanion Crystals and accessories are available for your character.
- The current Abyss Point cost for each item.
- Whether an item has a daily, weekly, seasonal or account-wide purchase limit.
- Whether the item is currently usable by your class, equipment path or intended build.
Do not spend based on a remembered screenshot or a guide’s old price. The available sources do not establish current costs, limits or a guaranteed shop inventory.
What to prioritize, item by item
Stigma Shards: the default first check
Stigma Shards are the most consistently recommended early purchase in the available guidance. AllThingsHow lists them among the first growth purchases after the Abyss Trade Shop opens. A recent community discussion uses even stronger language, advising players to put Abyss Points into Stigma Shards until their main Stigmas reach their own breakpoints.
That community advice is useful as a description of player practice, not a universal rule. The discussion does not define a common breakpoint table, and the available material does not prove that every class, role or build reaches the same value at the same level. Use Stigma Shards first when all of the following are true:
- The shard advances a Stigma you actively use rather than a skill or setup you have abandoned.
- You can reach a meaningful next upgrade without leaving the item unused in storage.
- No accessory or Daevanion purchase produces a larger immediate improvement for your build.
If a shard purchase would sit unused because another prerequisite is missing, save the points or compare the prerequisite directly with the alternatives. “Recommended first” does not mean “buy every shard offered without checking your next step.”

Daevanion Crystals: buy when they complete a real upgrade
AllThingsHow also recommends Daevanion Crystals as an early growth purchase. Their value depends on what your character can do with them now. A crystal that completes an upgrade you are already preparing can be more useful than a shard that only starts a distant project.
Check the crystal against your current progression plan:
- Does it finish an upgrade for equipment, skill or system you already use?
- Do you have the other materials, currency or level requirement needed to apply it?
- Will the resulting upgrade remain part of your build, or are you about to replace it?
- Is the crystal limited in the shop, making a later purchase difficult?
The guides do not provide a verified conversion rate between Daevanion Crystals and Stigma Shards. Choose the item that produces the next usable improvement, not the one with the more impressive name.
Accessories: a legitimate alternative to shards
Xtоpolis recommends considering accessories alongside Stigma Shards, with a stated order of ring, then earrings, then necklace. This is a progression recommendation, not proof that every character should buy those slots in that sequence. An accessory deserves priority when it fills an empty or clearly weak slot, supports your active stats and is not about to be replaced by the next level bracket.
Before buying, compare the accessory with a shard or crystal using the same questions:

- Is the slot currently empty, obsolete or materially weaker than the rest of your gear?
- Does the item match your role and stat priorities?
- Can you equip it immediately, including any level or class conditions?
- Will a planned content reward or upgrade replace it soon?
A ring can be the correct first purchase for one build, while another character may gain more from a Stigma upgrade. The available evidence supports accessories as a competing priority, not a fixed replacement for Stigma Shards.

Armor: avoid a short-lived mid-tier purchase
Xtоpolis specifically advises against buying mid-tier armor before level 50. The reason is practical: armor bought shortly before a level or gear transition can consume Abyss Points without staying in your build. This does not establish that all armor is bad or that level 50 is a universal spending breakpoint. It means you should be able to explain why the armor will remain useful before choosing it over a shard, crystal or accessory.
Cosmetics, wings and medals: postpone non-progression spending
AllThingsHow places cosmetics, wings and medals after growth needs. If your immediate objective is character power, treat these as later purchases. They may be worthwhile for appearance, collection or a long-term goal, but they do not answer an active combat bottleneck when a usable progression item is still available.
Consumables: usually the weakest use of points
AllThingsHow advises skipping consumables. A consumable can make sense only when the live shop shows an unusual, time-sensitive need that directly supports your current objective and no permanent upgrade is available. Because the sources provide no item-level prices or effect calculations, do not assume that a consumable is efficient merely because it is cheap.

A step-by-step spending method
Step 1: define the next upgrade, not a general wish
Write down the exact upgrade you are trying to reach: a Stigma level, a crystal-enabled enhancement or a specific accessory slot. “More power” is too broad to compare. Your target should be something you can use immediately or within the next clearly planned progression step.
Step 2: remove unusable options
Exclude anything your character cannot equip, activate or complete. This prevents a low-cost item from looking attractive while it remains idle. Include level, class, stat, prerequisite and inventory conditions shown by the live client.
Step 3: compare the remaining point costs and limits
Read the current shop entries rather than relying on guide wording. A limited item may deserve earlier attention than an unlimited one, but only if it is useful to your build. The available sources do not state whether limits are daily, weekly, seasonal or account-wide, so treat the label in your client as authoritative.

Step 4: account for replacement timing
Estimate whether the item will survive your next planned level or content transition. This is especially important for armor and accessories. A slightly smaller improvement that remains equipped can be better than a larger improvement replaced immediately, while a rare shard or crystal may justify earlier saving if it completes a major upgrade.
Step 5: spend in a single deliberate purchase
After checking the result, buy the item that removes the largest current bottleneck. Keep enough points for a known, near-term purchase only when the shop shows a limit or your plan requires it. Do not empty your balance automatically just because several items are available.

Your main Stigma is one upgrade away
Choose Stigma Shards if the purchase reaches the next usable Stigma improvement and your accessories are serviceable. This is the case most closely aligned with the first-priority guidance.
Your Stigma requires materials you cannot yet obtain
Do not buy shards merely to hold them. Check whether a Daevanion Crystal or an immediately equippable accessory advances your character sooner. If neither does, saving points is preferable to converting them into an inactive project.
Your ring slot is the obvious weakness
Follow the accessory alternative and inspect the ring first. If the ring is usable now and its cost does not prevent a near-term Stigma breakpoint, it may be the better purchase. Continue to earrings and then necklace only after each slot remains the best available improvement.

Use the Xtоpolis warning as a checkpoint: avoid mid-tier armor unless you have a specific reason it will remain useful. Compare the armor with a permanent Stigma or crystal upgrade instead.

You are buying for collection or appearance
Cosmetics, wings and medals are valid personal goals once progression is covered. Label the purchase honestly as a collection choice so you do not mistake it for an efficient combat investment.
How Abyss activities fit the decision
Corpus’s guide, published October 4, 2026, describes Abyss Points as usable for Stigma Shards and recommends participating in artifact sieges for faction benefits. That is guide context rather than verified official documentation of every current mechanic. Use the live activity descriptions, rewards and faction rules in your client when deciding how actively to farm points.
Do not let an activity recommendation dictate your purchase order. The relevant question is what the points earned from that activity can buy for your character now. If artifact sieges are available and worthwhile for your faction, they may support your point income, but the sources do not provide a measured earning rate or guarantee a particular schedule.
