Touch of Magic does not generate a code for an individual design. It is Disney Dreamlight Valley’s tool for customizing clothing and furniture; players share those designs through Daisy’s Boutique displays. The code a friend gives you is a Valley Visit code for joining their multiplayer session, while promotional redemption codes are a separate feature.
How do Touch of Magic codes work?
There is no documented text code attached to a Touch of Magic design. To show a custom design to another player, put it on a clothing mannequin or furniture display in Daisy’s Boutique. A visitor can interact with a displayed design during a Valley Visit and save it to a collection slot. Disney describes this design-sharing process in its May 2024 update announcement.
Touch of Magic is the customization feature itself. Disney’s June 2023 update announcement described furniture customization using base furniture pieces, textures and collected motifs.
How do I share Touch of Magic designs?
- Display the design. Use a mannequin for custom clothing or a furniture display for custom furniture in Daisy’s Boutique.
- Host or join a Valley Visit. Design sharing takes place through the in-game multiplayer visit, not by entering a design code.
- Interact with the display. Visitors can save a displayed design to their own collection save slots, as described in Disney’s May 2024 announcement.
After visiting, a player can use a Boutique panel while connected to online services to revisit a copy of a friend’s Boutique. The copy reflects changes to the friend’s curated Boutique collection, but it does not open the rest of that friend’s Valley. These details are also in the Thrills & Frills update announcement.

How do I visit a friend’s Boutique?
The host opens a multiplayer connection at the Valley Visit Station and shares the unique code it provides. The visitor enters that code from the Start Menu to join the host’s Valley. It is a session connection code, not a code for a Touch of Magic design. Disney’s December 2023 update announcement says a host can have up to three visiting friends at once.
- Multiplayer requires an internet connection.
- PlayStation players can engage in multiplayer only with other PlayStation users.
- Players using Disney Dreamlight Valley Arcade Edition cannot see other players’ Touch of Magic designs in their Valleys.
These are the platform and access limits published in Disney’s May 2024 update announcement. Platform support can change, so check current in-game guidance if a visit or design display does not work as expected.

Are Touch of Magic codes the same as redemption codes?
No. A promotional redemption code is entered through Settings > Help to claim an item, which is delivered to the in-game mailbox. Disney documented that process in its June 2024 Pride announcement. The three features have different purposes:

Can Touch of Magic designs be used in DreamSnaps?
Disney’s original 2023 DreamSnaps announcement said Touch of Magic clothing and furniture could not be featured in submissions; even obscured nearby pieces could prevent a submission. That describes the rule in the 2023 announcement, not a confirmed current rule. Check current DreamSnaps instructions in the game before preparing a submission.
