Duelist King was presented in 2021–2022 as a blockchain-based card game built around strategy, NFT cards, and community participation. Its developers also promoted a “Win2Earn” model, but historical announcements do not establish that the game is playable today or that players earned dependable income.

What was Duelist King?

Duelist King was a planned digital card game in which cards would be represented as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). In its June 2021 business plan, the project described decentralized mechanisms for issuing and distributing cards and allocating proceeds. It also presented DKDAO as a broader ecosystem for distributing games and issuing digital assets. Those were stated goals, not independently verified results.

The project said its concept drew inspiration from a Yu-Gi-Oh tournament sub-event and aimed to address card supply, authenticity, and community input. That description is not evidence of an affiliation with or license from Yu-Gi-Oh.

How was the gameplay supposed to work?

A Fantom Foundation feature published April 12, 2022 characterized Duelist King as a strategy- and timing-based card game. It announced a public alpha planned for April 15, 2022. The announcement describes a planned test, not proof that the alpha launched or that a game client remains available.

What role did NFT cards and community governance have?

Duelist King promoted its cards as NFTs that could be transferred and traced on a blockchain. The project framed scarcity and decentralized distribution as ways to address the supply and authenticity of digital cards, with community participation in decisions about issuance and distribution. These were project claims; the cited material does not independently audit the card supply or establish that governance operated as described.

A June 22, 2022 project article argued that card art, backstories, and gameplay utility were meant to provide value beyond financial worth. That was the team’s positioning, not an independent assessment of whether the cards had lasting collectible or gameplay value.

What did “Win2Earn” mean?

In a 2021 AMA, the team described Win2Earn as a gameplay-first approach, with engagement in the wider game ecosystem and potential earning tied to quests, battles, and tournaments. This explains the intended model, but it does not show that rewards were delivered, how much players could earn, or that earnings were dependable. No independently attributable current performance statistic or verified named-person quotation is established in the cited material.

Could players buy or trade Duelist King cards?

A project guide announced a second NFT card sale for December 15, 2021 and described signing in through the project website. That sale date has passed; the guide is not a current purchase route.

The project’s retrospective mentioned a relationship with TofuNFT in December 2021, and a PancakeSwap AMA named Refinable among its partnerships. These are historical mentions, not confirmation of active integrations, current listings, marketplace support, or an affiliate relationship.

Is Duelist King playable now?

The dated material establishes what the project announced, not its present operational status. It does not confirm a working game client, active card contracts, current supported chains, live marketplace listings, or ongoing development. Treat claims that Duelist King is currently playable or that its cards can currently be bought or sold as unverified unless current official evidence confirms them.

For a present-day check, look for an official game client and recent official communications, then confirm any claimed chain support against active contracts and any marketplace connection against live listings. A past alpha announcement, sale guide, or partnership mention is not enough to establish current availability.
