Gamescom Opening Night Live (ONL) 2025 mixed a worldwide game reveal with fresh gameplay, trailers, expansions, DLC and release updates. This roundup covers the ONL showcase—not every announcement across the wider Gamescom event, which also included other broadcasts and show-floor presentations.
What was Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025?
ONL kicked off Gamescom 2025. It was one part of the larger event, not a complete account of everything shown during Gamescom. For example, Xbox described its August 20–21 show-floor broadcasts as additional coverage after the showcase.
Gamescom reported that ONL 2025 reached 2.1 million PCCVs, generated 91.5 million VoD views and involved 3,700 co-streams. The organizer also reported 5,000 in-person fans. These are Gamescom’s event figures; the available information does not identify PCCVs’ expansion or describe the figures as independently audited. (Gamescom’s ONL page)
What games and updates were shown?
The entries below distinguish first reveals from updates to games already announced. A trailer, DLC announcement or platform update is not necessarily a new game reveal. The list focuses on the ONL showcase and draws on Xbox Wire’s official recap and a dated secondary roundup; it is not a complete inventory of all Gamescom programming.

How should you interpret the announcements?
“Revealed at Gamescom” can mean several things: a game shown for the first time, a new trailer for a known game, fresh gameplay, a DLC or expansion announcement, or a release and platform update. The entries above reflect those different kinds of news rather than treating every appearance as a brand-new game.
The cited roundups do not provide a complete, publisher-verified matrix of current release dates and platforms for every ONL title. Because those details can change, check a game’s publisher page for its latest availability before making plans to play or buy it.

Did Gamescom viewers vote for a best trailer?
Gamescom’s Best Trailer/Announcement category was decided by community voting, and its nominees announcement said entries could include trailers and announcements featured during ONL. That describes the award’s voting method; it should not be read as a representative poll of all showcase viewers. (Gamescom’s 2025 nominees announcement)
