Samsung’s Galaxy Portals was a limited-time Fortnite promotion for players in Spain and Portugal in February 2024. Its first stage, Galaxy Portals Deathrun, challenged players to race through a Galaxy S24-themed obstacle course; top finishers could win a Galaxy S24 Ultra or qualify for a planned in-person arena. The advertised competition has ended, and the sources do not establish whether its Fortnite map remains accessible.
How the Galaxy Portals Fortnite event worked
Samsung Electronics Iberia built the promotion around a custom Fortnite island inspired by the Galaxy S24 series. The opening stage was a timed Deathrun: players navigated an obstacle course, and completion time determined their ranking. Samsung Portugal described the map as having 20 levels and an in-game Galaxy AI character that could offer abilities tied to S24 features, including Nightography Zoom and Circle to Search.
Samsung Spain published the island code 9118-7329-9055. The code is useful as a historical detail, but it does not confirm that the island is still available to play.
Dates, prizes and qualification differed by country
The Spanish and Portuguese announcements set out separate local competition details. Their advertised windows should not be treated as one shared deadline.

| Location | Advertised Deathrun window | Prize or route to the arena |
|---|---|---|
| Spain | Samsung Spain said the challenge was active through February 8, 2024. | The top-ranked participant could win a Galaxy S24 Ultra. The next three fastest players could qualify to represent Spain at the in-person arena. |
| Portugal | Samsung Portugal described the first phase as running February 5–11, 2024. | Samsung Portugal announced local submission and prize rules, with qualifiers progressing to a second stage. Its release named Galaxy S24 Ultra phones, Odyssey G5 monitors and Xbox controllers as arena competition hardware. |
The Portugal announcement’s listed equipment describes the arena, not a requirement for accessing or playing the Fortnite map. Neither announcement establishes that buying a Samsung device was necessary to enter the Deathrun.
Where was the Galaxy Portals Arena?
Contemporaneous announcements conflict on the venue city. Samsung Portugal’s February 6 release said the arena would be in Lisbon on February 18, 2024. Samsung Spain’s February 8 release named the Samsung Store Callao in Madrid, and SamMobile’s February 9 report also placed it in Madrid. The available accounts do not explain whether the plans changed or one announcement was incorrect.

What the promotion said about the Galaxy S24
Samsung’s Spain announcement connected the map’s theme to the Galaxy S24 processor and Galaxy AI features. It also included company-stated hardware figures for the Galaxy S24 series: a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, peak brightness of 2,600 nits, and a vapor chamber described as up to 1.9 times larger. These are promotional specifications published by Samsung, not independent test results, and they are context about the featured phones rather than Fortnite event requirements.
