Highguard’s online service has ended
Wildlight Entertainment announced on March 3, 2026, that Highguard’s servers would remain online until March 12, when the game would permanently shut down. The studio said it had not built a sustainable player base to support the game long term. Which weapons ranked highest in January 2026?
Highguard.app’s January 29, 2026 tier list, labeled patch v1.0, placed three weapons in S-tier based on its assessment of damage, versatility, and effectiveness in that period’s meta. This was a third-party ranking, not an official developer list. See the Highguard.app weapon tier list.

Why the tier list is not a universal answer
The January ranking is historical and does not establish which weapon was strongest after Highguard’s final update. Wildlight said that the final update would add a Warden, a weapon, account-level progression, and skill trees, but its shutdown announcement does not name the weapon or provide a final weapon-balance ranking. The January list should therefore not be presented as a final-build tier list.

Even within the period covered by the guide, “best” depended on a player’s loadout and intended role. Highguard.app describes each Warden as carrying two primary weapons, one Raid Tool, and an axe. That two-primary limit makes weapon choice a pairing decision: the historical S-tier labels do not show that one gun suited every range or situation. The available ranking supports identifying the three S-tier picks, but not a detailed, verified comparison of their matchups or a universal ordering among them.
