- Dead by Daylight, Behaviour Interactive’s asymmetric multiplayer horror game.
- while True: learn(), a puzzle game focused on artificial-intelligence concepts.
Contemporaneous coverage identified the pair (source).
How did the Dead by Daylight offer work?
The base game was available to claim on Epic Games Store from December 2 through December 9, 2021. Behaviour Interactive said that a claimed copy would remain in the player’s library (publisher announcement). The offer was limited to that window; it should not be read as a current free-game listing.

The same announcement said most Dead by Daylight DLC was discounted by 50% through December 8, 2021. That was a separate, historical sale, not part of the ongoing price of the game or its add-ons (publisher announcement).
What kind of game is Dead by Daylight?
Epic describes it as a multiplayer horror game with an asymmetric 4-versus-1 setup: one player is the Killer, while four others play as Survivors trying to escape (Epic Games Store listing). That makes it a very different experience from while True: learn(), which contemporaneous coverage framed as a puzzle game about AI concepts.

What platform features did the Epic release support?
In its November 9, 2021 announcement of the Epic Games Store release, Behaviour Interactive said the game would support cross-platform play. The publisher also described cross-platform progression among Steam, Stadia, and Epic through a Behaviour Account (Behaviour Interactive announcement). Those statements describe the launch-era setup; they do not establish the platforms or progression options supported today.

In a January 27, 2022 retrospective, Epic reported that it gave away 89 free games during 2021 and that players claimed more than 765 million free games.
