These are publisher-reported content counts. The launch announcements name characters including Mercenary Tao, Grandpa Gohan, General Blue, Ma Junior, Chi-Chi, Demon King Piccolo, Goku (World Tournament), Supreme Kai, Kid Uub, Zangya, Bardock (Super Saiyan), Chilled, Super 17, Vegeta (GT), Trunks (GT), Nuova Shenron (GT), Hell Fighter 17, Champa, Jaco and Cheelai. Does the DLC include things players asked for?
There is a specific basis for that claim. In a producer letter, DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO producer Jun Furutani said: “This upcoming DLC will not only include new playable characters but also costumes and stages that many of you have requested, as well as a new single-player mode for you to enjoy.” The statement supports saying the expansion includes requested costumes and stages. It does not establish that the DLC covers every fan request or that there is a comprehensive list of requests that it fulfills. Read the producer letter.

How does Limit Breaker Journey work?
In Limit Breaker Journey, you choose a character and strengthen them through increasingly difficult battles and events. You can customize stats and abilities to build toward a preferred play style. According to the DRAGON BALL OFFICIAL SITE feature, fighters trained in the mode can be used in offline battles and select online battles. The mode therefore offers character progression beyond simply collecting new fighters, though online use is limited to selected battles.
Which features are free, not part of the paid DLC?
A free update released alongside NEO adds two battle mechanics and three stage variants. They are separate from the paid expansion’s four new stages:

Bandai Namco’s July 30, 2026 launch notices say NEO is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions were announced for 2027 by Bandai Namco Europe; Bandai Namco America described those versions as coming at a later date. The Switch versions should not be treated as already released on the basis of those notices.
