What made the 2015 launch notable?
On November 13, 2015, Bethesda Softworks reported that the game launched with approximately 12 million units worldwide, representing sales in excess of $750 million. The publisher also reported more than 470,000 concurrent Fallout players on Steam at the time. These are Bethesda’s launch-announcement figures, not independently audited final sales totals. Bethesda’s November 13 announcement preserves the context for both numbers.
The game was announced in June 2015 and arrived that November, making the gap between announcement and release relatively short. Bethesda’s official overview documents that announcement-to-launch arc, though it does not establish an exact elapsed-day count. Bethesda Game Studios’ overview provides the historical context.

Original release and later editions
The November 2015 launch was for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It should not be confused with later availability on additional console generations or with a later bundled edition.
Bethesda announced Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. The announcement says it includes the base game and six official add-ons. It names Automatron, Far Harbor, Nuka-World, and Workshop expansions, but those examples are not a complete list of all six. Edition contents and platform listings can vary by storefront, so check the specific listing when choosing a version. Bethesda’s Anniversary Edition announcement describes the later release.
