That confirms the launch-era offer, not whether the game is still included today; availability can change by region and over time.
When did Metaphor: ReFantazio come to Game Pass?
Xbox Wire announced the game’s arrival on May 29, 2025, saying it was available “today.” The post was written by Michael Cerven, Atlus Senior Communications Manager. Read the Xbox Wire announcement.
Atlus later published its own announcement on June 4, 2025, stating that the game was available on Game Pass. That later post does not change the arrival date given by Xbox Wire. Read Atlus’s announcement.
Which Game Pass tiers and platforms were named?
Xbox Wire listed Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. Atlus named Xbox Series X|S, PC, and cloud play. These are the services and play routes stated in the 2025 announcements; they are not confirmation that every option remains available now.

Is Metaphor: ReFantazio still on Xbox Game Pass?
The 2025 announcements establish that the game joined Game Pass then, but do not establish its current catalog status. Check the Xbox Game Pass catalog for your region and the tier you use before relying on subscription access. Catalog listings can change, and availability may differ by region.
How does the Game Pass arrival fit the game’s release timeline?
Atlus lists October 11, 2024, as the game’s original release date. Xbox Wire’s earlier launch announcement specified Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC for that October release. The Game Pass arrival followed on May 29, 2025. See Atlus’s official game information and Xbox Wire’s October 2024 launch post.
