The first Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer beta weekend began August 30, 2024, at 10 a.m. PT. Both beta windows have ended, so players can no longer join. The first weekend was limited to eligible preorders and select Game Pass subscribers; the September 6–9 open beta was available to all players on all platforms.
When did the Black Ops 6 beta start and end?
Activision scheduled the beta across two weekends. The first was an early-access period, followed by an open beta. All platforms were scheduled to go live at the same time.

These dates are the published schedule, not an upcoming event. Activision’s beta announcement described the two-weekend format and access conditions.
Who qualified for the early-access weekend?
Weekend one was available to players who preordered Black Ops 6 on console or PC, as well as subscribers to select Game Pass plans. Activision’s edition guide named Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, and Game Pass Console as eligible plans for the beta. Those are historical eligibility details; they do not establish current Game Pass terms or restore access to the expired beta.

Yes. Activision described the September 6–9, 2024, weekend as open to all players on all platforms, without requiring a preorder or qualifying Game Pass plan. “Open” applied to that scheduled beta period; it does not mean the beta remains available now.
Which platforms and PC storefronts were included?
The official materials covered Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. For PC, Activision’s beta getting-started guide listed Battle.net and Steam downloads. Its edition guide also described Microsoft Store access for eligible Game Pass PC subscribers.

What requirements applied?
- Internet: Activision stated, “Internet access is required for participation.”
- Online console play: An online multiplayer subscription might be required. The edition guide noted that console play could require Game Pass Core or Ultimate; requirements depended on platform and access method.
- PC account and phone: A mobile phone number had to be linked to Battle.net and/or Steam to play the PC beta.
- Regional conditions: Activision listed PlayStation Plus requirements specific to Germany. For PlayStation users in Japan, it stated an age and payment condition. These conditions should not be generalized to other regions.
These were conditions for participating during the beta, not ways to join it now.

No. A purchase now cannot reopen a beta that ended in September 2024. Activision documented physical editions of the full game, including a Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 PS5 physical edition and an Xbox Cross-Gen physical bundle, but those are game editions—not beta keys or active beta-access methods.
