There is no substantiated release date for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 5. The season histories consulted do not list a Chapter 6 Season 5: they place Chapter 6 Season 4 before a short Simpsons-themed mini-season, then Chapter 7 Season 1. The label “Chapter 6 Season 5” appears to be a numbering mistake, not a confirmed upcoming season.
Did Fortnite Chapter 6 have a Season 5?
The available season chronologies do not show a Chapter 6 Season 5. Fortnite.GG lists Chapter 6 Season 4, then “Season MS2,” its entry for the Simpsons mini-season, followed by Chapter 7 Season 1 (Fortnite.GG season chronology). Dot Esports’ retrospective history likewise places Chapter 7 after Chapter 6, which it dates from December 1, 2024, to November 29, 2025, and describes as containing six entries, including two mini-seasons (Dot Esports season history).

Because mini-seasons complicate the numbering, a count of season entries should not be mistaken for proof that a numbered “Chapter 6 Season 5” existed. The sources above do not establish a release date for that label.
What season is Fortnite on now?
As of October 4, 2026, Epic’s Fortnite page identifies Chapter 7 Season 4 as current and gives November 1, 2026, Eastern Time, as the Battle Pass end date (Epic’s Fortnite page). That current schedule is not a Chapter 6 Season 5 launch date, and Epic may change season dates.
