Epic announced that Fortnite’s Battle Bus would return on December 4, 2025, in its Chapter Seven: Pacific Break v39.00 update notes, published November 29. A December 3 report framed the date as a leaker claim, but Epic’s notes had already stated it officially. The announced date has passed; the sources cited here do not independently verify the bus’s current in-game status.
What did Epic announce about the Battle Bus?
In its November 29, 2025 Chapter Seven: Pacific Break v39.00 update notes, Epic said the Battle Bus would be back in commission on December 4. At the start of the chapter, the bus was temporarily out of commission, and players would Storm Surf to the island instead.
The Battle Bus is the vehicle players deploy from at the beginning of a Battle Royale match before using a glider to land, according to Epic’s Fortnite Creative Glossary.
Why did the December 3 report call it a leak?
GameXplore’s December 3, 2025 article attributed the December 4 return date to leakers and said Epic had not confirmed it at that time. However, Epic’s update notes had announced that date four days earlier. For the announced schedule, Epic’s dated notes are the more direct source.
