Epic’s October 12, 2024 announcement is a historical event notice, not confirmation that either outfit is available now.
Which horror characters appeared in Fortnitemares 2024?
Epic Games’ Fortnitemares 2024 announcement named Billy and Leatherface in its outfit coverage. The post names the characters rather than their film franchises; the franchise associations are Billy the Puppet with Saw and Leatherface with The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

- Billy the Puppet: Epic said Billy’s Outfit had already debuted by the time the announcement was published on October 12, 2024.
- Leatherface: Epic listed the Outfit among those players could expect in the Item Shop during Fortnitemares 2024.
That difference describes the announcement’s wording and timing; it does not establish a current price or guarantee either Outfit is in the shop today.
What else was part of the 2024 event?
Fortnitemares 2024 was a Battle Royale seasonal update, not just a set of horror-themed cosmetics. Epic said the event ran through the end of Chapter 5 Season 4 and highlighted gameplay and reward features alongside its outfits.

Are Billy or Leatherface available in Fortnite now?

Epic says V-Bucks can be used to buy Outfits. Buying V-Bucks does not unlock a particular character automatically: players spend the currency on cosmetics offered for sale. Epic also explains that V-Bucks cards are redeemed to an Epic account and have account, device, and regional conditions. The company says Fortnite gift cards are replacing V-Bucks cards, with rollout varying by region, so check Epic’s V-Bucks card information for current terms before purchasing.
