How does Gun Game work?
Gun Game is a free-for-all built around a shared weapon ladder. Every Operator starts with the same weapon, then advances through a 20-weapon set by earning eliminations. The weapon set varies from match to match, so the precise sequence is not fixed across every game.
- Eliminating an opponent moves you to the next weapon.
- A melee attack against a player who is pulling ahead can send that player back one weapon.
- Frequent radar sweeps show each Operator’s last known location.
- The screen identifies the top two players and shows their progress.
- The first player to complete all 20 weapons wins.
Is Gun Game currently available in Black Ops 6?
The official Season 02 announcement confirms the planned return for January 28, 2025, but it does not say whether the mode remains in the playlist rotation on October 8, 2026. Playlist availability can change, so the announcement alone cannot answer whether you can queue for it now. Check the in-game multiplayer playlists for the current offering.
