The California Fire Relief Bundle was a completed itch.io charity campaign hosted by Necrosoft Games. Its historical $10 minimum unlocked 422 items from 301 creators, and organizers said proceeds after processing fees would go to CORE to support people affected by the fires. The campaign ended on March 14, 2025, so the $10 price is not a current offer.
What was in the California Fire Relief Bundle?
The bundle brought together digital games, tabletop role-playing games, asset packs, and other projects. The official itch.io listing described it as a collection of 422 items from 301 creators. Among the named games were Tunic, Cook, Serve, Delicious!, Tangle Tower, SkateBIRD, and Octodad: Dadliest Catch. The official bundle listing has the campaign’s contents.
How did delivery work, and were these Steam keys?
No. GameSpot reported that the campaign offered itch.io copies, not Steam keys. The available information does not establish compatibility with a particular device or storefront beyond that distinction. GameSpot’s February 28, 2025 coverage explained the copy format.
Where did the money go?
The organizers’ page said: “All proceeds, minus processing fees, go to CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort), a Los Angeles-based organization which offers direct monetary support to survivors of the fires, and supports projects for fire resilience in affected areas (and potential disaster zones).” That is the campaign’s stated arrangement; it does not mean the full $10 from each contribution went to recipients, since processing fees were excluded.

The available campaign information does not provide an independently audited accounting of donations or a detailed report of disbursements. The beneficiary and use of funds described here are therefore the organizers’ stated terms.
What did the campaign raise?
When the official itch.io listing was viewed, it displayed $356,108.17 raised against a $300,000 goal, 27,798 contributors, and an average contribution of $12.81. These are figures displayed by the listing, not independently audited results. For context, GameSpot reported interim totals of more than $57,000 from over 4,400 buyers or contributors in its February 28, 2025 article; those were figures from during the campaign, not its final displayed totals.
