In WoW Classic Season of Discovery, the Darkmoon Faire runs twice a month, generally in the first and third weeks. The Faire alternates between Mulgore and Elwynn Forest. Those are planning cues, not exact dates: check your realm’s in-game calendar for the current opening and location.
How often does the Darkmoon Faire come to Season of Discovery?
Season of Discovery has two Faire visits per month, unlike the once-monthly pattern described for standard WoW Classic. Specialist coverage characterizes the SoD timing as the first and third weeks of the month. The schedule can help you plan, but it does not establish the opening dates for every realm in 2026. Wowhead’s Classic guide was updated March 9, 2026, and its report on the SoD schedule change describes the first- and third-week pattern.
For the next visit, open the in-game calendar and check the event listing for your realm. Don’t use a dated schedule from an earlier year as a current calendar.
Where does the Faire appear?
The Faire alternates between Mulgore and Elwynn Forest. Blizzard’s WoW Classic announcement describes the two locations and notes that both factions can access the Faire. However, each location is in territory associated with one faction, so PvP players should consider the risk of encountering enemies while traveling. The in-game calendar is the best way to confirm which location is active for your realm.

What should you do while it’s open?
The core activity loop is games and quests for Darkmoon Prize Tickets, which can be exchanged for prizes. Blizzard’s Classic announcement also describes attractions such as the Humanoid Cannonball and Tank Battle Simulator. Availability and details can vary by version, so treat the Classic announcement as context rather than a guarantee that every attraction works identically in SoD.
Classic-era card decks are another reason to visit: Blizzard lists the Beasts, Elementals, Portals, and Warlords decks, which can be turned in for epic-quality trinkets. SoD has additional Darkmoon cards, according to the Wowhead Classic guide. That guide associates Ace cards with specific Phase 3 dungeons and raids, but phase-specific drops can change; check current SoD information before farming a particular card.

Blizzard’s broader Darkmoon Faire page describes tickets, games, profession quests, and artifact turn-ins, and says the general Faire starts on the first Sunday of each month and lasts one week. That is general Faire guidance, not a replacement for SoD’s twice-monthly schedule. Don’t assume every activity or reward listed for the broader game applies unchanged to Season of Discovery.
