Could you join the beta, and how did access work?
The beta was closed and selection-limited. Signing up for EA Playtesting or opting into EA emails did not guarantee an invitation. EA’s general EA Playtest and closed beta guide describes a process that can include a screener or questionnaire, followed by a selection message with further instructions. EA said selected FC 26 participants received a code at the email address associated with their EA Account. Codes were personal and non-transferable; EA advisors could not issue a replacement code to someone who was not selected.
For the FC 26 test, participants had to be at least 18, have an EA Account and an internet connection, and accept EA’s User Agreement, Privacy & Cookie Policy, and Pre-release Feedback Agreement. The beta was available only in the United States and United Kingdom. An online subscription was also required for Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch.
#1 Best Overall

- The Club is Yours in EA SPORTS FC 26.
- Experience Manager Career like never before with all-new Manager Live Challenges.
- Put your dream squad to the test in Football Ultimate Team with Tournaments and Live Events, as well as a refreshed Rivals and Champs experience.
EA’s general guidance recommended using an EA Account, enabling email communication in Account Communication Preferences, and signing up for EA Playtesting. For a Playtest, the account needed to be linked to the console or platform selected at signup. Those steps described how to be considered for eligible tests; they did not guarantee FC 26 access, and they cannot reopen this one.
