It is a scenario, an instanced activity you start from a quest, not an open-world arena you can simply walk into. The temple is the zone landmark; the scenario is the thing you complete. Entry instructions have changed between game versions, so the route you need depends on the mode and client you are playing.
Where the Temple of the White Tiger is
The Temple of the White Tiger sits in Kun-Lai Summit, the Pandaria zone. The Warcraft Wiki entry for the scenario lists this as its location and describes it as a scenario-type activity, not a permanent arena structure with a public entrance. Warcraft Wiki, “Arena of Annihilation”
What kind of content it is
Quest data on Wowhead describes the Arena of Annihilation as scenario content with its own objectives: you enter, work through the scenario, and complete it. That distinction matters when you are searching the map. A landmark marker or a building in Kun-Lai Summit does not by itself mean you can enter the scenario from there. How to start it
The quest page carries a note that, after patch 6.0, players needed to speak with Lorewalker Fu at the Seat of Knowledge to begin the scenario. That note is version-specific and comes from a community-maintained database, not from a current official access guide, so treat it as the route to check first rather than a guaranteed one.
#1 Best Overall
- Open your quest log and search for “The Arena of Annihilation” to confirm the quest you need is available to your character.
- If the quest is available, check the quest giver or starting NPC listed on the Wowhead quest page for your game version.
- If the note applies to your client, travel to the Seat of Knowledge and speak with Lorewalker Fu.
- If neither the quest nor the NPC is present, your character likely does not meet the requirements for the current mode. Check the mode section below before searching further.
Mode and availability
Availability depends on which version of the game you are playing. Blizzard’s official announcement for World of Warcraft Remix: Mists of Pandaria places Arena of Annihilation under Kun-Lai Summit scenarios in that mode’s level 25–70 content band. That is a statement about the Remix mode, not a universal rule for every current World of Warcraft mode, and the announcement page did not establish a publication date in the material reviewed for this article. Blizzard Entertainment, “World of Warcraft Remix: Mists of Pandaria Now Live!”
If you are on a mode other than Remix, use the Wowhead quest page and the Warcraft Wiki entry to confirm whether the scenario and its starting quest are present for your version. If they are not, the scenario may not be available in that mode at all.

If you cannot find it
- Looking for a door or entrance in the open world: the scenario is started through a quest, so walking the temple grounds alone may not reveal it.
- Quest not in your log: confirm your level and mode against the level band above, then check the Warcraft Wiki entry for prerequisites.
- Lorewalker Fu not at the Seat of Knowledge: the Seat of Knowledge route applies to the post-patch 6.0 note. Your client version may use a different starting NPC.
- Conflicting advice in comments: user comments on the quest page describe specific versions and are not definitive current instructions.
