On ARK: Survival Evolved’s The Island, begin your search in west zones 1 and 2. The ARK Official Community Wiki identifies those as the areas where Unicorns mostly spawn, but the creature is rare, so neither zone guarantees an encounter. The advice is specific to The Island; for other maps, check a map-specific spawn resource rather than assuming the same locations apply.
Where to search on The Island
Scan west zones 1 and 2 first. The ARK Official Community Wiki describes them as the Island areas where Unicorns mostly spawn, not as exact coordinates or a guaranteed spawn point. See the wiki’s Unicorn entry for its habitat information.

Keep the rarity of the encounter in mind while searching. The wiki describes the Unicorn as a rare Equus variant, so finding the right region does not mean one will be there when you arrive.
Why a search can take time
The ARK Official Community Wiki says only one wild Unicorn may exist at a time. Its Equus entry notes that after a Unicorn is tamed, another may spawn in its place. This does not establish a fixed respawn timer, so there is no supported wait time to rely on.

Searching other maps
The Unicorn entry lists The Island, Ragnarok, Valguero, Crystal Isles, Lost Island, and Fjordur as habitats. Its west-zone guidance applies to The Island; the available information does not rank these maps by spawn likelihood or establish exact Unicorn coordinates for each one.
Use a spawn map or other map-specific resource that matches your game and map. The ARK Official Community Wiki Fjordur Spawn Map is interactive and can show creature locations, but it does not provide a readable static Unicorn coordinate list in the information available here. Confirm any location in the interactive map rather than treating an unverified coordinate as certain.

Match the guidance to your game
The ARK Official Community Wiki documents the Unicorn in the context of ARK: Survival Evolved, while ARK Unity’s Unicorn Taming Guide for ARK: Survival Ascended covers that edition and lists broader map coverage. Because map availability and spawn behavior can differ by edition and server configuration, check the map and version you are playing before relying on a location. Mods and server settings may also affect what you encounter.

Run too far and not only will you be exhausted, but you will also quickly get hungry and thirsty. Weather effects are based on real-world climates, and so you'll need to hide out from rain and snow, while making the most of sunny days
