The White Arabian near Lake Isabella appears in the Story Mode section of the horse guide on RDR2.org, which was last updated November 6, 2023. That guide covers Online horses in a separate section and does not present the Story Mode spawn as an Online answer. Treating it as one would send you looking for something the guide does not claim. Rockstar’s official notes do not identify an exact best wild-horse spawn for Online either, so any Online spawn coordinates you find elsewhere should be checked in-game before you rely on them.

How Online horses are acquired
Red Dead Online is the online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2, so you need that base game to play it. Within Online, Rockstar’s Title Update 1.11 notes describe the purchase route for horse breeds added in that update:
“Three new horse breeds with coat variations have been added to Red Dead Online and can be purchased from any Stable or the Handheld Catalogue. All of these must be unlocked through Role progression.”

Three practical points follow from that wording:
- Stables: purchase at any Stable in the game.
- Handheld Catalogue: purchase through the catalogue rather than visiting a stable.
- Role progression: the three breeds from that update required Role progression to unlock. Check each horse’s requirement in-game before you plan around it.
That update’s list is a historical addition, not a complete current inventory of Online horses.
What players report about wild horses in Online
A Red Dead Online player discussion reports that wild horses can be used as temporary mounts but cannot be kept as owned horses, and that buying at a stable is the route to a permanent horse. This is community reporting, not a published Rockstar rule. Rockstar’s official notes support the stable system but do not spell out the full wild-horse ownership rule, so treat the temporary-mount behaviour as likely rather than confirmed. If you need a horse you keep, use the stable or catalogue route.

Before committing to a horse, check the following:
- Its Role progression requirement, if any.
- Whether it is sold at a stable, in the handheld catalogue, or both.
- Its handling category, since categories differ between horses.
- Whether saddles and stirrups you can get would improve the performance you care about most. The guide notes they can further improve performance.
