Complete Ray Machowski’s final mission, “Marked Man,” to get the Bulletproof Patriot in GTA 3. The car is in a lockup on Staunton Island near Callahan Bridge. To keep it, take it to the garage at the Shoreside Vale safehouse in Wichita Gardens.
How to get the Bulletproof Patriot
- Progress through Ray Machowski’s missions until “Marked Man” becomes available.
- Complete “Marked Man.” Ray’s reward is access to a lockup on Staunton Island near Callahan Bridge.
- Go to the lockup and take the Patriot.
The lockup is where you collect the vehicle; it is not the recommended long-term storage location. The vehicle’s location and storage guidance are detailed in the Bulletproof Car FAQ.

Where to store it
Drive the Patriot to the garage at the Shoreside Vale safehouse in Wichita Gardens. If you want to preserve the vehicle, the FAQ recommends waiting to complete “Marked Man” until Shoreside Vale is accessible, so you can move the reward to that garage.
Why the timing matters
“Marked Man” is still the mission that unlocks the Patriot. Waiting is a storage strategy: having access to Shoreside Vale makes it easier to take the car to the suggested garage.

What the Bulletproof Patriot can—and cannot—do
The Patriot resists bullets, making it useful in later missions where you face gunfire. A GTA III walkthrough recommends it for S.A.M., while warning that it is not explosion-proof: rockets can destroy it, and police vehicles can potentially topple it. Mission hints for S.A.M. also recommend using Ray’s Patriot against Cartel gunfire.
