Xbox announced the console for holiday 2024; as of October 8, 2026, the U.S. Xbox catalog labels it sold out, while the UK product page offers a Microsoft Store purchase path. Check your local Xbox listing for the latest availability before buying.
Where can you buy the Galaxy Black Xbox Series X?
Availability depends on country. The U.S. Xbox product page lists the console at $799.99, but Xbox’s U.S. all-consoles catalog labels it sold out. The UK Xbox listing shows a Microsoft Store purchase path at £589.99 and identifies the console as a Microsoft Store exclusive. These listings were observed on October 8, 2026; stock and prices can change.
Check the official listing for your country rather than relying on a retailer page or an old preorder announcement:
The official pages establish the Microsoft Store route in the UK, but do not establish current stock or pricing in other countries. The available information also does not confirm an Amazon listing, its seller, or its stock. If you search a marketplace, use the exact product name, “Xbox Series X 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition,” and verify the seller, price, and availability on the listing itself.

Are preorders still open?
No current preorder window is established. Xbox announced the edition on June 9, 2024, for holiday 2024 and said preorder and regional availability details would follow. That announcement describes the launch period, not an open preorder today.
What is included in the Galaxy Black Special Edition?
This is a disc-drive Xbox Series X configuration with a 2TB SSD and a matching Galaxy Black wireless controller. Xbox described the console as retaining Series X speed, performance, and features while doubling the storage of the standard 1TB model. Its celestial finish uses silver, grey, and green details; the controller has a Galaxy Black D-pad and Velocity Green back case.

Microsoft’s official product page distinguishes it from the 1TB disc-drive Carbon Black Series X and the 1TB all-digital Robot White configuration. The Galaxy Black edition combines the larger 2TB capacity with a disc drive; it is not the all-digital option.
