Operation Ember Strike has four dog tags to collect. Follow the mission route in order: search the first ruins before the Old Fort, check a building beyond the river, double back to the sniper’s ridge after Lopez, then inspect crates by a forklift on the dam approach.
Operation Ember Strike dog tag locations
The locations below follow the mission’s progression and use landmarks rather than map coordinates. Keep an eye out for the first tag before advancing to the Old Fort objective.
-
Early valley ruins: inside the building near the rug
After taking the four-wheeler, drive into the first small cluster of ruined buildings. Before reaching the Old Fort objective, search inside the central or least-damaged building and check the floor near the rug. Guides describe slightly different buildings in this cluster, so use the interior floor search as your cue. Shacknews places it at the back of the central building; GameSpot describes the broken building straight ahead.
-
Beyond the river: crate beneath a window
Continue through the valley and village, cross the river, and search the small building cluster on the rise. Look inside the relevant small outbuilding for a low crate beneath a window. Stacked tires, a wheelbarrow, and goat graffiti are useful exterior clues; the guides differ on which building in the cluster to prioritize. Shacknews gives a route cue of about 200 meters north of Datalink Charlie, while GameSpot describes the center building in the group just beyond the river. Treat those as orientation cues, not a guaranteed coordinate.

After Lopez: turn back to the sniper’s ridge
After the Lopez encounter on the way toward Datalink Delta, turn around and climb to the ridge where the sniper was positioned. The dog tag is on a military crate at the former sniper position. Blue portable toilets are a nearby landmark; continue only after checking the ridge. The sequence cue and former sniper position are described by Shacknews and GameSpot.
-
Dam approach: crates by the forklift
After the regroup and cutscene in the dam sequence, head uphill toward the dam and inspect the crates by or behind the forklift. The tag is on a crate along the approach. A canteen and shipping-manifest clipboard are additional nearby clues in Shacknews’s description; GameSpot places it on the left side of the road after the Delta SAM sequence. Use the forklift and dam approach to orient yourself rather than relying on an exact trigger point.

What to know about the collectibles
These four mission collectibles are dog tags. Shacknews’s 2025 guide counts four in Operation Ember Strike and 30 dog tags across the Battlefield 6 campaign. Neither location guide establishes a specific reward for collecting all four in this mission.
