He appears just outside the Imperial City Arena after you become Grand Champion. Win the final Arena match against Agronak gro-Malog, the Gray Prince, leave the Arena building, then speak to the Fan and choose “Follow your esteemed Grand Champion!” to recruit him. He is not available there before you earn the rank.
How to unlock the Adoring Fan
Complete the Imperial City Arena questline and win its final match against Agronak gro-Malog, also known as the Gray Prince. That victory earns you the Grand Champion rank and triggers the Adoring Fan encounter. Game8’s Oblivion Remastered walkthrough describes the match and the encounter that follows; GameSpot’s April 22, 2025 guide and Insider Gaming’s April 22, 2025 guide also identify the Grand Champion rank as the trigger.

If you have not started the Arena questline, travel to the Arena and speak with Owyn to begin. GameSpot’s companion overview points players to Owyn from the Arena fast-travel location.
Where to find him and recruit him
- After winning the final match and receiving the Grand Champion rank, exit the Arena building.
- Look for the Adoring Fan waiting outside and speak to him.
- Choose “Follow your esteemed Grand Champion!” to have him join you.
The location and dialogue option are described in Game8’s Remastered guide. The encounter is tied to the championship: searching outside the Arena before earning Grand Champion will not find him.
