To finish Tian Wen’s “A Better Use” quest in Arc Raiders, you need to find a Supply Call Station, request a Supply Drop from it, and loot the package that arrives. The station does not show on the map from across the level. Guides report that its icon appears only when you get close, so the practical method is to search the landmark zones listed below and look for a tall, thin antenna with a small radio at its base.
What the quest asks you to do
Tian Wen gives the quest, and the ARC Raiders Wiki lists The Right Tool as the quest that comes before it. The quest has two objectives:
- Request a Supply Drop from a Call Station.
- Loot a Supply Drop.
The quest wiki lists Dam Battlegrounds and Buried City as the main locations. Its quest page also lists Spaceport and The Blue Gate as available maps, but the guide coverage available for this article focuses on the first two, so the search zones below cover those two maps only.
Quest rewards and the one discrepancy
Two sources list the rewards differently. The third item is the only point of disagreement.

| Source | Reward 1 | Reward 2 | Reward 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| ARC Raiders Wiki (quest page, last edited July 11, 2026) | Extended Light Mag I | Stable Stock I | Muzzle Brake II |
| Beebom guide (dated October 31, 2025) | Extended Light Mag I | Stable Stock I | Compensator I |
Because the two sources disagree on the third reward and the guide is older, check the reward screen in your own game if the exact third item matters to you.
How to recognise a Supply Call Station
A Supply Call Station is a small radio placed beside a tall, thin antenna with a white light on top. The antenna is the easiest thing to spot at a distance, so scan for that silhouette as you move through a zone. The station is not guaranteed to be in any particular spot, and the search zones below are where guides have reported finding one, not confirmed spawn points.

Two walkthroughs say the station’s icon appears on the map only once you are nearby, so check the map again when you think you are close.
Requesting and looting the drop
- Move to a zone that suits where your raid started. The Hydroponic Dome Complex on Dam Battlegrounds is the suggested first attempt.
- Scan for the antenna and the small radio at its base. Once you are close, open the map and confirm the station icon is showing.
- Interact with the radio to request the drop. According to the ARC Raiders Wiki, the drop arrives within about a minute; that figure is the wiki’s approximate estimate, not a measured timing across all runs.
- Watch for the flare that marks the request, then find the package descending toward the ground.
- Loot the Supply Drop. It may land near the station rather than directly beneath it, so search the area around the flare.
Where to search on Dam Battlegrounds
TheGameSlayer’s September 17, 2026 guide recommends starting with the eastern side of the Hydroponic Dome Complex as an easy search point. Other zones guides report for this map are:

Where to search on Buried City
The guides reviewed for this article report the following zones on Buried City:
- West Village, in the southern complex.
- Near the highway at the centre of the map, on top of a building. Another guide describes rooftops northwest of Old Town.
- East of the map, near the buried buildings.
- South of New District, near Security.
Tactical risks after the flare
- The flare advertises your position, so other Raiders may move toward the station or the drop.
- TheGameSlayer warns that ARC enemies may interfere while you wait for the package.
- Into Indie Games suggests a high vantage point or binoculars to scan the surrounding area before you commit to the wait.
What the sources do and do not establish
The quest details come from the ARC Raiders Wiki. The station description and search zones come from third-party guides, including TheGameSlayer’s September 17, 2026 update and Beebom’s October 31, 2025 guide. These sources do not establish exact spawn coordinates, a complete list of zones for every map, or a guarantee that a station will be active in any given run. Station placement and map behaviour are game details that can change with patches, so treat the zones above as starting points and recheck them after a major game update.

Some players report spending long stretches searching without finding a station. Those reports are anecdotal, and the zones above are the best current leads rather than a promise of success.
