Bilguun’s hideout on Blue Gate, the shelter used in Celeste’s Keeping an Eye Out quest, is in the southwest of the map. It is tucked into the broken elevated highway near the Adorned Wreckage and Highway Collapse landmarks. Find the stop sign and opening, get above it on the broken road, and reach the shelter by a zipline or a ledge drop and grab. Inside, photograph the eye artwork to complete the objective.
Don’t confuse it with the Spaceport hideout
Bilguun also has a separate hideout on Spaceport, tied to a different quest. This guide covers only the Blue Gate shelter under the broken highway. If your map marker or quest log points you to Spaceport, you are looking at the wrong location.
Finding the right area on Blue Gate
Head to the southwest quadrant of Blue Gate and use two landmarks: Adorned Wreckage and Highway Collapse. The quest’s written clue mentions the southern edge of Barren Clearing. Guides warn that this wording can send players searching a nearby area that is not the shelter, so treat the highway and Adorned Wreckage as your real reference points.
Reaching the shelter step by step
- Go to the southwest of Blue Gate, near Adorned Wreckage and Highway Collapse.
- Locate the broken elevated highway. The shelter opening sits in or beneath the highway structure and is marked by a stop sign.
- Climb the broken road to get above the shelter.
- Descend to the shelter by one of the routes compared below.
- Inside, photograph or inspect the eye artwork. Guides say you do not need to extract a physical item to finish this step.
Comparing the access routes
Guides describe more than one way in. None of them establishes a single mandatory route, so choose based on the equipment you have and how much fall risk you accept.

- Brand New in box. The product ships with all relevant accessories
| Route | What guides describe | Equipment mentioned | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zipline | A zipline route from the broken road, described in multiple guides | Not stated in the guides reviewed | Least fall exposure as described; exact zipline placement varies by guide |
| Ledge drop and grab | Drop from the highway ledge, grab the edge, then pull yourself up | None mentioned | Requires a jump and a grab, so there is a real fall risk if you miss |
| Snap Hook | An approach mentioned by a single guide | Snap Hook (in-game traversal item) | Only one guide mentions it, so treat it as an option rather than a requirement |
Completing the objective and collecting rewards
The objective is evidence-based. Once inside, the eye artwork and clue are the target, and a photo or inspection satisfies the step. You do not need to carry anything out of the shelter.
The ARC Raiders Wiki, a community-maintained reference with no stated publication date, lists five Pulse Mines and one Flame Spray as the quest rewards. Because no official, current patch source covering this quest was located at the time of writing (October 2026), check the quest reward screen in your own game before relying on this list.
What Celeste says about the hideout
Celeste’s raid dialogue, as transcribed by the ARC Raiders Wiki, reads: “Celeste here. I remember Bilguun mentioning a hideout over by the highway once. Look for a place with a view.” That line is in-game dialogue from a quest-giver character, and it is a useful hint: the shelter is above ground level along the highway.
Troubleshooting
- You are searching near Barren Clearing and finding nothing: Move west toward Adorned Wreckage and Highway Collapse and look for the elevated highway.
- You cannot reach the shelter from above: Try the ledge drop and grab, or a different approach along the broken road. The guides reviewed do not describe a single required method.
- The quest is not updating after you photograph the artwork: Confirm that you are at the Blue Gate shelter, not the Spaceport hideout, and that you are inside the shelter when you take the photo. Guides do not describe other requirements for this step.
Verification limits
Location, landmarks, and the in-shelter objective are described consistently across several guides. The route variants and the reward list come from individual guides and a community wiki rather than from an official Embark Studios page or patch notes, so the details may change with a future update. No hands-on test of each route is reported here.
